Why can’t people call this trail by its proper name? It is mailbox singular! It was named that because at the beginning of the trail there used to be a red mailbox and they called the trail red mailbox. Then the owner of the land got word or maybe just change the color to blue, so they dropped the red and just called it mailbox. As mentioned in another comment, this is an unsanctioned trail and really should not be on TH-cam but whatever I don’t really ride it so I guess I don’t care. But it’s been there for years and I’m seeing more and more videos on it. I’m just wondering how long it has before someone comes in and flattened all the features. And for that matter, all riding in UCSC is not allowed, but it’s kind of don’t ask. Don’t tell. Head north up to Angwin and they have just recently open that to Mountain bikers, and those trails are legal. But there is not Santa Cruz factory to rent motorcycles from. But I’m sure Saint Helena Cyclery can set you up with a motorized bicycle.
Thanks for your comment, positive or negative; it helps push the video out on TH-cam. In response to your comment, I would probably group regular bikes in with the e-bikes. Happy hiking.
@@slowerwithdonuts There’s no boundaries anymore, E-bikes are riding trails that were previously unrideable. There’s no safe place to hike. Mountain Bikes = 30 lbs, E-bikes = 100+ lbs on average
Thanks for the comment! My analog bike is about 38 pounds, and my e-bike is 49 pounds-definitely far from 100+ pounds. Plus, people weigh much more than the bikes! It’s all about sharing the trails responsibly. Happy hiking and biking!
E-bikes are actually prohibited here on these trails in demo, but riders don’t really seem to care. I doubt it will cause any access issues here, but still something to consider. Nice video though.
I like the narration, makes it educational so I learn something.
Very cool! watch your back when you lift 😎
If only I could bunny hop over the whole log.
Cool vid!!
Keep it up!
That motor rattle would drive me nuts
It did drive me nuts. We figured out that the headset was loose, so the sound you are hearing is not the motor.

Sending positive vibes your way. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Ha ha ha. I am a mess!
We both are
Nicely done!
Posting a video on TH-cam of illegal trails in some one else’s town is the lowest of low
Thanks for your comment; it helps boost this video and spread the word about the trails.
E-bikes are hazardous trash; hiker killers.

You were a day too early. My battery died on the downed tree.
