I was one of the people that hated her because I was still in school and thought all she did was craziness, despite the fact ALOT of artists I listened to were also crazy. Tbh, I've come along way healing myself and sorting out the internalised misogyny I suffered under during my teen years. Now looking back, I'm pretty sure I did a bit worse than Miley did when I was in my late teens (17-19) and early 20s (21-to now).

Miley Cyrus is proof that we are all capable of being so many different things, wearing so many different looks and still being true to ourselves. Even till college, I was afraid of wearing skirts because it would mess with my "tough girl" persona. But I never once judged Miley or Britney or any other "troubled" female artists because deep down inside I was rooting for all of them being able to be themselves while I was too afraid myself.
I'm ashamed to admit this but I too was one of those sheep who got outraged because other people were outraged when "Wrecking ball" hit the charts. Now that I'm older I realize that she just wanted to do whatever she wanted and I respect her for that. I have to say that now that I listen to your music with an open mind, I find ALL of it wonderful and soul-moving. Keep it up Miley! with love, a new fan

maybe i'm wrong but i don't think they were together for 10 years.. They were together, broke up and then they were together again in 2017 or 2018 (not so sure), they got married and they broke up again in a really short time. Liam didn't embrace her that's for sure and anyone can see it from their history, her songs and many other sources of their family members. She was with him for so long cause she loved him and gave her heart to him but he didn't. He even set some "rules" for her to follow.. It was a toxic relationship and i think there are a lot of interviews or articles about that. Anyway we can't really know the whole story but because i followed Miley for many years especially when she was with Liam i'm pretty sure that he was and still is bad for her

I'm really impressed with how this was just so honest. It was a refresher too i mean we've all watched her evolve, make mistakes, grow, do good, suffer, fall in love, make hits, and everything for 10 years. It really puts a lot into perspective. It's always easier to look back and think it was just a moment and accept her now. But wow the world was really gunning for her everyday. I mean I acknowledge the reasons why, but it's just in retrospect, it feels just so distant. like a blip in time.
