2013 Ford Edge Brake Light Switch Replacement

you know this switch is bad when you don't have brake lights or your brake lights don't work all the time. We figured this out when the car wouldn't shift out of park, also a function of the brake light switch.

I replaced the switch but it still won't come out of park!!!! I'm sooo frustrated

I have a 2013 Taurus and the brake lights stay on sometimes, so I'm thinking about replacing the switch.

My Ford Edge brake lights stay on too after turning off the suv and stay like that until I push the brakes again
