At this point they have already released 4 albums, some Singles/EPs and also a bunch of live DVD/Blu-ray releases. Back in 2018/2019 LOVEBITES have already toured in Europe, including appearances at the major metal festivals as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop. In 2018 they also won the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award for best new band. Then came Covid, their original bass player and founder Miho quit the band for personal reasons and two babies were born. After a break LOVEBITES came back with new bassist Fami and new song „Judgement Day“ in late 2022. A new album with the same title came out in February 2023. Recently their album „Judgement Day“ was voted #15 in best metal albums of the year 2023 by readers of Metal Hammer UK. What is a fantastic result for a still relatively unknown band. Our LOVEBITES song is only complete when we play it live." These were the words of vocalist Asami to the audience before playing this song on the first day of the revival concert. This song was originally written with the idea of having the audience join in the chorus once the restrictions imposed by COVID were lifted, masks were no longer needed, and loud voices could be heard. Fortunately, the restrictions were lifted for the revival concerts over the past two years. Just before the concert started on the first day, the staff informed the audience and all the members of the band about this, and everyone was overjoyed at this surprise.
They are petite ladies, so they decided to wear White on stage. Metal stages are usually dark, light reflects off white making them stand out when they are performing. Tallest is 5'2", Shortest is 4'9". They will be in the US in 2024.
Now you know why you had so many recommendations for them. Asami-san is simply an unbelievable singer. She can hit super high notes, hold them forever, leap from high to higher and all seemingly without effort. For two hours. You’ve just witnessed the most gifted live act ever. Take that literally. This band is amazing. All 5 are top. It's funny to see the small woman behing that huge drum kit, and yes, she's killing it :) . And the energy during live is insane
All 5 look quite relaxed in the concerts. They know what they can do and they put it into practice. Asami (voc.) and Miyako (git,black hair) are mothers with a baby at home. Haruna is a 148cm tall bundle of energy and she never looks strained. Fami (bg.) is new to the band and the youngest at 21, the others are 30+. They love metal, but don't want to stand on stage like metal. Also, since they are all not very tall, they are more visible on stage in white.
That the group sings in English is a big selling point. As you delve into their massive discography you should agree all things considered they are the #1 live performing rock/heavy metal band today.

The music video for this song is very cool, casual and fun. Fami, the bass player, was selected by the other band members after a worldwide, open to everyone, audition process that they made a documentary about. This was Fami's first live show with Lovebites, so they gave her a few moments in the spotlight throughout the show.
Well now you have met my #2 band, You have to watch the video for Swan Song with the Chopin intro. That and most videos will have the old bass player Miho in it and not Fami. Never the less it is another great performance that will blow your mind.
Oh Ash they just dropped a new version of Swan song from their DVD Knocking at Heavens Gate 2. it is on their official channel now, it doesn't have the intro sadly. So I would suggest you do the older version for that alone. The performance should be called the Miyako showcase, as it shows off her talents to the max.

Love this band so much! My favorite band. They're so insanely talented, and so amazing to watch live. They don't have a bad song, and they have quite a variety of metal they play - thrash, power, speed, ballads. I highly recommend checking out more from them. Best metal band in the world.
you aren't the first reactor that gets a gwen vibe from asami. you have just seen THE most talented band of females to ever exist. the talent in this band is remakable and every song they do is an epic journey. this is one of their more raucous songs and they have a lot in that style but you really need to see their other side. 'a frozen serenade ' is a live song you will not want to pass up. merry xmas !
An amazing instrumental band, with a sub-standard vocalist. She could be good but she relies on one style of overly repetitive vibrato which gets drowned out by the amazing instrumentals.
There's actually nothing substandard about Asami's vocals at all, don't believe me, check out The Charismatic Voice or Julia Nilon's reactions to her vocals. Those ladies are two of the biggest and best vocal reactors on TH-cam and they were amazed by Asami's vocals.

It’s the constant vibrato/trilling, whatever you want to call it, that grates on me - and every other person I’ve introduced to them. Holy War is on my Spotify play list but only lasts until she starts singing. Scraping fingernails down a chalkboard bothers most people, doesn’t bother me at all. If her style doesn’t bother you, fine, but it bugs everyone I’ve played it for - we are talking rock-metal fans.

This song is good , but the new album is mostly not like this it’s very much power metal , dragon force , I’m personally not a fan of power metal . I however do like this track , and a few of their older thrash metal songs .

How can you compare Alternative rock with something heavy and fast. Dude there's something wrong with your ears, Lovebites is a Power Metal band. Stand and Deliver is more like their happy song. I didn't find a song like this on their album, so this isn't really their style although it's still good.

Our LOVEBITES song is only complete when we play it live." These were the words of vocalist Asami to the audience before playing this song on the first day of the revival concert.
This song was originally written with the idea of having the audience join in the chorus once the restrictions imposed by COVID were lifted, masks were no longer needed, and loud voices could be heard.
Fortunately, the restrictions were lifted for the revival concerts over the past two years. Just before the concert started on the first day, the staff informed the audience and all the members of the band about this, and everyone was overjoyed at this surprise.
They are petite ladies, so they decided to wear White on stage. Metal stages are usually dark, light reflects off white making them stand out when they are performing. Tallest is 5'2", Shortest is 4'9".
They will be in the US in 2024.

She can hit super high notes, hold them forever, leap from high to higher and all seemingly without effort. For two hours. You’ve just witnessed the most gifted live act ever. Take that literally. LOVEBITES was formed in 2016 by Miho(Ba) and Haruna(Dr), members of the band "DESTROSE", which went on hiatus in 2015.
The girls made their major label debut in 2017 (March 24) with "THE LOVEBITES EP".
On 18 June 2018, LOVEBITES won 'BEST NEW BAND' at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods 2018 awards organised by the British metal magazine METAL HAMMER.
On 4 August, LOVEBITES performed on the W.E.T stage at WACKEN OPEN AIR 2018, one of the world's largest annual metal festivals in Germany, with the 10,000 capacity venue almost full.
"Bloodstack open air 2018(Aug. 10)" also participated.
On August 20,2018, LOVEBITES announced that it has partnered with X-ray Touring, one of the largest players in the UK booking agent industry.
LOVEBITES toured the Netherlands, Germany, France and UK from November 13-21, 2018.

This band is amazing. All 5 are top. It's funny to see the small woman behing that huge drum kit, and yes, she's killing it :) . And the energy during live is insane
All 5 look quite relaxed in the concerts. They know what they can do and they put it into practice. Asami (voc.) and Miyako (git,black hair) are mothers with a baby at home. Haruna is a 148cm tall bundle of energy and she never looks strained. Fami (bg.) is new to the band and the youngest at 21, the others are 30+. They love metal, but don't want to stand on stage like metal. Also, since they are all not very tall, they are more visible on stage in white.

About the dresses, When Lovebites was touring Europe as the opener for Dragonforce, a French metal magazine interviewed Asami (singer) and her response was. "We're girls, we don't want to dress like boys. Also, we're all small and the white and gold makes it easier to see us on stage." And they are ALL small, Haruna (drums) is 4' 9" Asami (singer) is 4' 10", Midori (blond guitarist) is 4' 11" and Miyako (Dark haired guitarist) and Fami (bass) are both 5' 2"

The music video for this song is very cool, casual and fun. Fami, the bass player, was selected by the other band members after a worldwide, open to everyone, audition process that they made a documentary about. This was Fami's first live show with Lovebites, so they gave her a few moments in the spotlight throughout the show.

Well now you have met my #2 band, You have to watch the video for Swan Song with the Chopin intro. That and most videos will have the old bass player Miho in it and not Fami. Never the less it is another great performance that will blow your mind.
Oh Ash they just dropped a new version of Swan song from their DVD Knocking at Heavens Gate 2. it is on their official channel now, it doesn't have the intro sadly. So I would suggest you do the older version for that alone. The performance should be called the Miyako showcase, as it shows off her talents to the max.

you aren't the first reactor that gets a gwen vibe from asami. you have just seen THE most talented band of females to ever exist. the talent in this band is remakable and every song they do is an epic journey. this is one of their more raucous songs and they have a lot in that style but you really need to see their other side. 'a frozen serenade ' is a live song you will not want to pass up. merry xmas !

An amazing instrumental band, with a sub-standard vocalist. She could be good but she relies on one style of overly repetitive vibrato which gets drowned out by the amazing instrumentals.
There's actually nothing substandard about Asami's vocals at all, don't believe me, check out The Charismatic Voice or Julia Nilon's reactions to her vocals. Those ladies are two of the biggest and best vocal reactors on TH-cam and they were amazed by Asami's vocals.

It’s the constant vibrato/trilling, whatever you want to call it, that grates on me - and every other person I’ve introduced to them. Holy War is on my Spotify play list but only lasts until she starts singing. Scraping fingernails down a chalkboard bothers most people, doesn’t bother me at all. If her style doesn’t bother you, fine, but it bugs everyone I’ve played it for - we are talking rock-metal fans.

There's a very very short list of live bands that these Japanese women wouldn't blow off the stage.
Asami is more Mariah , this song is more of an outlier, Asami has a r&b background .
This song is good , but the new album is mostly not like this it’s very much power metal , dragon force , I’m personally not a fan of power metal . I however do like this track , and a few of their older thrash metal songs .

AMAZING. Better live than in any video I had seen of them.. and I have seen many of their live/studio videos since 2018...
I couldn't attend last year's concert in Madrid (first time they were playing here in Spain and even though I had tickets...) and I was really looking forward to see them live for the first time....

How can you compare Alternative rock with something heavy and fast. Dude there's something wrong with your ears, Lovebites is a Power Metal band. Stand and Deliver is more like their happy song. I didn't find a song like this on their album, so this isn't really their style although it's still good.
