    Google sent me to you as my same unit also failed after 13 months. They sent me replacement parts coming Monday but your awesome video put my mind at ease that I can actually do this myself. Without your video I would be too intimidated to try it so thank you very much. Well done and very professional. I really appreciated the close ups. Thanks!

    The sad thing is how often are we going to replace these things. I bought one have not used it because out of the box the board was not working. Because I waited to install this I had to pay for a new board. Maybe RVLock should look for a more reliable pc boards. Because this lock cannot be relied on forced to take key along just in case.

    Great Video 😊 Excellent step by step. I also had my lock just out of warranty go bad and called the nice folks in Utah to get the PWB parts. Yes, great people at RV Lock and very helpful, although the problem is with the design and the fact that the unit would never pass a water and environmental test by UL LABS. When new the lock is awesome, although when time and weather hits it, the lock us junk. Sorry to vent, the point is your video is awesome, it's just the fact we have a company like RV Lock selling junk that's poorly designed and allows the weather and rain to junk it out.

      Hi Joe, I think the water gets in the inside handle when you open door in rain. There is no gasket on the interior handle. Thanks for watching.

    Mine died exactly 13 months after the purchase date...thanks for the video on how to fix it

    • @RVHabit
      @RVHabit  ปีที่แล้ว

      Mine is dying again. It seems to corrode from humidity. I will be replacing with a different brand since nothing was covered under their lifetime warranty. I will not pay for parts again.

    Good information but Isn't there a lifetime warranty on these locks?

    • @RVHabit
      @RVHabit  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes they claim lifetime warranty but fine print also states, Damages not covered are those resulting from abuse, normal wear and tear, accidental damage, and cosmetic damages that do not affect the functionality of the lock. So I guess the electronic boards are either normal wear and tear or considered accidental damage since it worked when I bought it.

      @@RVHabit thanks but I just got the boards sent to me because it was constantly beeping. Guess I was lucky they have a gasket that is supposed to stop water infiltration so I would say it’s on them

    How lucky that I can watch your video! That keypad is exactly same one on my camping car. Also it has a problem and not working now. May I ask you how I can purchase the pad on online? It' so hard to get that model of keypad in Korea. (btw I live in Korea.) I wish I could get your reply, hopefully🙏🏻🙏🏻

    • @RVHabit
      @RVHabit  ปีที่แล้ว

      Go to their website rvlock(dot)com. I am not sure if they ship to Korea but give it a try.

    Maybe adding some dielectric grease to the lower battery compartment and the connector that corroded would be in order. The manufacturer needs to do some redesign to tackle this problem.

    • @RVHabit
      @RVHabit  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      My thought exactly on the dielectric grease. I couldn't find a full tube I just bought. I will definitely be adding some when I buy some more.
