Hi fam! I hope you're doing good! Got my hands on the new Define 7 Compact early on, and it couldn't have better timing since I still have a fresh experience with its bigger brother!
The review is very good, just fine!! But (!) no one ever tells the whole truth about tower coolers.(Including on this channel) I chose Fractal Design Define 7 Compact, I chose strictly according to those characteristics and specifications on the official website. I chose a serious tower cooler for it, which by all parameters SHOULD fit into this case, this is Noctua NH - D15. According to the stated data on the Noctua website, its size is 165mm in height. In the Fractal Design Define 7 Compact case, according to the data on the Fractal website, the maximum height of the tower cooler is 169mm. See how everything fits perfectly, doesn't it?!! . . . . But really, the Noctua tower cooler does not fit into the Fractal Design Define 7 Compact case, it does not fit!!!!!! And now the essence of the question, about which everyone, including you, is "loudly" silent: Actually, the tower fits, even the average fan becomes good, but the front fan, located above the RAM slats, moves up because of these very slats, and because of this, the real, I emphasize, the real size of the Noctua NH - D15 tower cooler goes beyond the officially declared.About 2.5... up to 3 cm!!! Noctua does not write about this, and it looks like this is some kind of conspiracy of all reviewers on TH-cam. How many people get to the hull like this, or to replace a smaller tower (or should I take my own)? Dear author of this video! I appeal to you with a request to spread this information, because the mystery covering this topic will be a major upset for hundreds of trapped people!! This case is able to fit Noctua NH - D15 with only one central fan. If you install a second fan in front, the glass does not close. That is, either this way, or with 2 fans, but without glass (or a blind metal wall)But this, as you understand, is a collective farm and not an option. Therefore, it is impossible to put processors of the upper line in this case, which have a strong heat dissipation.Only with a water cooling system. This information will save a lot of people from spending, through the fault of Noctua.
Where did you find information about the 3.5" multibracket and alternate location for it on top roof ? Not a single mention on Fractal`s website or in a Define 7 compact`s manual. Thanks!
Petri Puurunen yeah exactly the same thoughts, I got excited when he mentioned you could mount up to 4 hdd. But no mention of it anywhere for fractal...
Hi, great review! 87 on CPU and 76 on GPU -- Doesn't that seem excessively hot for a CPU? I was thinking warm would mean mid 70s at most. I just purchased this case in white because it's gorgeous, but now I'm having regrets that this might be really terrible on thermals. What were your CPU and GPU temps with this setup in the Be Quiet 500dx? I was also considering the 500dx, Lian Li Mesh and Meshify C. I was just super hesitant on getting a mesh case because I tried it years ago and it was excessively loud.
I think I had the PBO on in this scenario, which would explain the temperatures. Take a look at this, new Meshify 2 - th-cam.com/video/rVw8wbUqlx0/w-d-xo.html Also, I'll reviewing the new BeQuiet's 802 in the next day or two!
The tubes inlet and outlet points on the radiator are above the pump itself, so this it shouldn't have any problems with the air getting stuck in the pump. The problem is when those are below the pump, as shown in the Gamers Nexus video at 11:36 (I assume that you're referring to that)

Very good size & internal space comparison.
One of the better reviews so far. Keep up the good work :)
Thanks!!

Let me get back do you on that, I think I got this from their material!
This was a quality review. Glad I found this channel. Now subbed.
Thanks for watching!
Salam was
can I build a full sized ATX setup normally in this? Also, are all the parts metal?
Time to ditch my ancient optical drive and switch from a regular R5 to this one.
I'm getting one of these even if it doesn't support my b550.
Yeah, no problem
Great video! I wonder how much GPU clearance left with the front AIO installed?
Hm, I'll have to check, I think they have it on their website

It's too expensive, needs a price cut.
Sup fam? I just bought the fractal AIO cooler, but the 360mm version, i hope it is enough to cool the 9900k OC cause its a hot hot boi.
Vertical GPU mount: th-cam.com/video/bDWJ3js_sqw/w-d-xo.html
make an matx version of this then im sold
Never mount the radiator with the tubes at the top. It will wear out your pump.

He sounds eerily similar to hardware canucks
Yeah, I get that a lot 😂
dude, less uptalks!
