I don't know the backyard professor but I grew up playing chess with John Bartholomew and I like his channel very much. GM Tang was also a student of my gold group in a MN chess camp and I've played him as well although he was much younger when I did. When I knew him he was 9 and 10 and he was a really amazing bullet player but not a master level player quite yet. I'm a MN native and know most of the strong players from there.
