This airline is the best. I travel a lot of time and many different airlines. But TURKISH airlines i my favoriet. The food the service just everything is amazing. And the new AirPort of Istanbul is mindblowing!!
The airport may be mindblowing itself, but its cost to nature is just too expensive. I saw it while it was being built, an area with that size was full of trees, its size is close to the Fatih-Istanbul, the historical center of the city. It was built just next to the Black Sea shores and yeah they didn’t just cut a whole small city size of a forest, its also pretty far away from the city and yet there are no subway systems there.
Turkish Airlines is probably my favorite airliner. Took a trip to Egypt with some friends and the whole experience was great. Wasn’t even in business, but still was impressed. Also the unlimited drinks is a mice touch.

Sam Chui Agreed. Same goes for the inflated Skytrax rating for Cathay Pacific... my recent NYC flight experiences were just nowhere close to The same flights with Turkish or Emirates. P.S. Seeing Bangkok Airways, Aeroflot (to say the least) placed above Turkish Airlines is a very bad joke 😁

From the passenger's point of view, I am sorry but the massive terminal is absolutely nothing but a massive shopping centre with a few runways thrown in front of it. Besides I'd wholeheartedly suggest you speak to pilots who frequently fly to this shopping mall (!) especially winter months. The airport is far from being a proper transit hub where internet and everything costs one an arm and a leg. Pitty for Turkish Airlines. We truly miss Atatürk Int'l.
@@streetbroom yeah actually us: who doesn't fly once in a year and who doesn't comment about how bad, unnecessary and unuseful the new airtport is. We like it (the people who uses airports frequently). Ataturk was horrible, chaotic and incredibly crowded also small. It didn't have enough pists for taking offs and landings. None of A380's and 747-800's were able to land there. So the new airport is like heaven. You can say whatever you want to since it's not necessary.
@@berkek1962 I truly apologise I forgot that you keep the track of my flights... how frequently I use the new airport and how frequently I fly... did I fly to and from and via the new airport 5 or 6 times only the last couple of weeks? can you please update me on that? And I will wholeheartedly suggest that you speak to a captain who frequently flies into the new airport during winter and the cross winds they get from North West? And I had lost the count of how many times I flew into Ataturk Airport on Airbus 380 and B747s and other double aisle wide bodied planes at least since 1991. I will also suggest you read the feasibility report from the government appointed bureaucrats who had suggested that Ataturk Airport can still be used with a billion dollar upgrade for at least a 30 years.. and the passenger guarantees given to the operators of the new airport is nothing but a financial black hole for the Turkish taxpayers.. I will also suggest you check out other airports elsewhere in Anatolia such as Kütahya Zafer or Balıkesir which attracted absolutely 0 passengers but millions of Dollars go into the pockets of certain construction companies from government coffers... as I said elsewhere the new airport in Istanbul is a giant and immensely expensive shopping centre with a couple of runways thrown in front of it... anyway this has been a lengthy comment but I'm sure you can read this during your extremely long taxi following landing at the new airport and the semi Interstate bus ride from your plane's parking position to the terminal.. there is a technical reason why back in 1912 they constructed the airport in Yeşilköy and other landing strips in airports on the south coast of Istanbul. I'm sure a more qualified person will explain it to you... that is also to say, a third airport was necessary but not "another second airport" and in a feasible spot like Çorlu. You remember? The new airport had been built as a promise for a third airport? And I will not even get into the sentimentality of eradicating the name of Atatürk from the main entry into the country and potentially one of the most important hubs in the world aviation. We use ‘It’ luggage. It’s extremely light and comes in lots of different sizes. It’s not a hard type of suitcase, it’s the softer kind of material, not quite sure what it’s called . It wasn’t too expensive and we think it’s very good quality

From the passenger's point of view, I am sorry but the massive terminal is absolutely nothing but a massive shopping centre with a few runways thrown in front of it. Besides I'd wholeheartedly suggest you speak to pilots who frequently fly to this shopping mall (!) especially winter months. The airport is far from being a proper transit hub where internet and everything costs one an arm and a leg. Pitty for Turkish Airlines. We truly miss Atatürk Int'l.
@@streetbroom yeah actually us: who doesn't fly once in a year and who doesn't comment about how bad, unnecessary and unuseful the new airtport is. We like it (the people who uses airports frequently). Ataturk was horrible, chaotic and incredibly crowded also small. It didn't have enough pists for taking offs and landings. None of A380's and 747-800's were able to land there. So the new airport is like heaven. You can say whatever you want to since it's not necessary.
@@berkek1962 I truly apologise I forgot that you keep the track of my flights... how frequently I use the new airport and how frequently I fly... did I fly to and from and via the new airport 5 or 6 times only the last couple of weeks? can you please update me on that? And I will wholeheartedly suggest that you speak to a captain who frequently flies into the new airport during winter and the cross winds they get from North West? And I had lost the count of how many times I flew into Ataturk Airport on Airbus 380 and B747s and other double aisle wide bodied planes at least since 1991. I will also suggest you read the feasibility report from the government appointed bureaucrats who had suggested that Ataturk Airport can still be used with a billion dollar upgrade for at least a 30 years.. and the passenger guarantees given to the operators of the new airport is nothing but a financial black hole for the Turkish taxpayers.. I will also suggest you check out other airports elsewhere in Anatolia such as Kütahya Zafer or Balıkesir which attracted absolutely 0 passengers but millions of Dollars go into the pockets of certain construction companies from government coffers... as I said elsewhere the new airport in Istanbul is a giant and immensely expensive shopping centre with a couple of runways thrown in front of it... anyway this has been a lengthy comment but I'm sure you can read this during your extremely long taxi following landing at the new airport and the semi Interstate bus ride from your plane's parking position to the terminal.. there is a technical reason why back in 1912 they constructed the airport in Yeşilköy and other landing strips in airports on the south coast of Istanbul. I'm sure a more qualified person will explain it to you... that is also to say, a third airport was necessary but not "another second airport" and in a feasible spot like Çorlu. You remember? The new airport had been built as a promise for a third airport? And I will not even get into the sentimentality of eradicating the name of Atatürk from the main entry into the country and potentially one of the most important hubs in the world aviation. I've never been to Turkey and now I really want to go experience the flight, the incredible lounge and the country.
We use ‘It’ luggage. It’s extremely light and comes in lots of different sizes. It’s not a hard type of suitcase, it’s the softer kind of material, not quite sure what it’s called . It wasn’t too expensive and we think it’s very good quality
