I am a retired Flight Attendant here in the USA and I am so ashamed of what has become of our Airlines. I have always said that even countries with much less money have superior in-flight experiences and service unlike here for example, American Airlines is absolutely awful and disgraceful. Just look online and watch one of their first class or business class services. It wasn’t like that in the 80s when I started flying, but it’s so bad now that it’s shameful. This was a great video superior in flight service and food.

Turkish Airlines always rips people off with expensive tickets on domestic flights, but they welcome foreigners with very nice prices and meals on international flights. You have money, being nice to you is what they do best.

I fly Turkish often on long-haul flights. I have learned to avoid the 777 and A330 if possible, I try to choose flights with the A350 or 787. The Business Class cabins are really nice, as shown in your video. Thank you.

I’ve flown the Turkish 787 from Seattle to Istanbul and an A330 to Jeddah from Istanbul. The 787 business class pods on Turkish are quite tight, frankly. Legroom on all seats except row 1 is poor and the footwells are very narrow. The seat is very narrow around the shoulders, as well, and in bed mode very confining around the head and shoulders. Not a good configuration choice for 13-14 hour flights. (The configuration chosen by Turkish is the exact same as Singapore Airlines 787 REGIONAL business class - same vendor, exact same pod with a different color). The Food and service were fine. Of course the lounge in IST is great, but can be very very busy. The A330 to Jeddah was fine, much roomier but with no privacy in a 2-2-2 configuration - similar to the 777 (which I’ve flown LAX-IST a number of times) but not nearly as spacious. The issue with the 777, of course, is the middle seat - not really acceptable in 2024, and should be refurbished.

I think 2-3-2 configuration is the worst one ever. It reduced almost privacy that business passengers deserve, especially middle seats in the centre of cabin and left & right window seats. These passengers defenitely have to disturb another for access to the aisle. This configuration can be also found in top-tier airlines like Emirates, Qatar and should be replaced by 1-2-1 for better in-flight experience.
in general across different airports in the world, how early can one check in if you have a first class ticket and you want to take advantage of the lounge ?
Agreed, I've given them 2 extra chances after a terrible experience and its just consistently lacking with rude staff (ground and in the air); both economy and especially their business class.
