I also just bought godox de 300 w and it works well. I used XT-16 R for the trigger and receiver. I find these lights far too bright even on their lowest setting. The problem is the power is too strong even if I put it down to 5.0, do you have any solution? thank you
HanScreen - Hope you shoot in Manuel mode so you have just to go up to F 7 or F8 or you have just to increase the speed go around 1/500 something like this... You should have good exposure
Just ordered 2 of these and am hoping I can shoot as low as f/1.8. What is the lowest output, 18.75 ws? As I want to shoot wide open using a shoot through or reflective umbrella at 50-100 iso, of a full body or cropped body shot.
I find these lights far too bright even on their lowest setting. Have had to buy some ND gel material to use over the reflectors. However it is very difficult to gel a softbox. Great shame as the lights would be great if the power could be lowered. BY their very nature, softboxes have to be close to the subject, so having to use F16 or 22 with these units makes them pretty useless. Would love a recommendation for some cheap monolights that have far less power.
I purchased from ebay, there out of production now but there still seems to be plenty of stock around. I have found they can run hot if used hard and the recycle time is a little slow, but part from that they are holding up well for me.
Good studio lights. I used for the past 3 years I have 3 of them and want to buy 2 more

Try using another defuser in your softbox, and/or a honeycomb on your light box. That will soften the light and make it less bright

thanks for the video. Can you say what is the maximum wattage (W) for modeling bulb? 300 means 300W?
Hi, The 300 stands for 300w flash power from the main bulb, the modelling lamp is 150W, Hope this helps👍

To trigger the lights you will need the relevant receiver, these lights do not have a built in a receiver.
