i needed some counselling help plz regarding prospects of Eco at Roorkee rn as its a pretty new batch so are there opportunities for good internships or placements from top companies like Goldman sachhs, Mckinsey , RBI or any hft firm?...
I am very interested in eco but then my primary aim is to grab a great package soon so as to improve conditions of my family.
Bombay has great stats but then its been a decade since it has the branch so would there be a high diff if I take roorkee as in the opportunity diff at roorkee and bombay?..
I don't want to gamble at this
iit kanpur economics is also well established
you wont get HFT
If you are getting bombay eco go for it

How does opportunities differ at diff IITs?..also would the curriculum also differ ?... coz I saw at Bombay its more into maths while in roorkee its highly theoretical from 2nd yrs
Bhaiya now i am thinking of eco at iitR bcoz i have strong inclination towards machine learning since my 11 and you said that ML is included in eco
Courses specific to ML are not there but some courses help in ML ,You can look into the syllabus
Bhaiya is it worth to take eco in kanpur over bhu ece as I have pure interest in tech only...will it be a stupidity to choose non circuital branch when I am getting one in a good IIT
Yes if you are interested in tech onlu then you should prefer IIT Bhu ECE

Yes. A majority of the selection process depends on your resume and interview skills. Only a few companies choose to not be open for economics students.
