- In this video I cover how to bleed your western unimount plow, how to change a valve, how to replace your screen, how to clean your pump and a few other tid bits of information. My plow was having issues turning and being stuck in one position. Hope this helps. God Bless.
Thank you so much for sharing this information. My plow is having a bit of an issue and this video had some great info. I have saved this so I can go over everything again like you mentioned. Thank you thank you. God bless.
You’re very welcome. Let me know what worked to help fix your plow!!
@@Thisandthatdude I sure will. When I get the time to do it. Thanks again. Very informative.
It wouldn't turn left cuz it probably still had air in the hydraulic⁉️🤔
It was a valve that was bad
Where you get those light's? Post a link in the description.
I’ll look them up and post it

This is the set I bought from Storks Plows. Very happy with the lights.

Excellent video going through everything. My plow is only going right. According to Western Mechanics Guide online that is the default position…and one of the valves is not operating. Power probed the plow side plug and valve is not actuating. I need to do it again tomorrow at the coils themselves but guessing that one valve (or coil) thats needed for left and up (S3?) is the problem. I’ll check resistance of the coils next. I’ll post back w/ my findings but sounds similar. Thanks
Thanks for the feedback. Happy it helped. Did you take the valves out at all and check to see if the plunger will move by hand? Definitely let me know what you figure out after the tests. If you do think it’s a coil, swap it with one of the others, they’re all the same. Also, if you think it’s a valve, take it into your Western dealer to make sure you get the correct one.
What if my plow don’t go down
Does it do any other functions? The plow goes down by gravity. It could be a mechanical issue with pins, electrical harness, remote or a back pressure issue. Put a jack under it and jack it up as high as it’ll go, put remote in float, push the lift cylinder down completely, disconnect chain & lower jack. If it drops down, it’s not mechanical & you have to start troubleshooting elsewhere.
Well I had up down left right but I took each value out cleaned it with Carb cleaner freed the plungers and I have everything again your video and my uncles suggestion worked thanks for the help!
You’re very welcome. Happy to hear you’re up and running!!
Thank you so much sir
You’re very welcome. What was wrong with your plow and what fix worked?
@@Thisandthatdude just has it serviced today and don’t believe they bleed it will be using your video to do so I’m the morning it works just doing the stop and go but after I bleed it I’m sure I’ll be good after
Before you start the bleeding process, check to make sure it has the proper amount of fluid in the pump housing.
