Bizarre not a single stage from Shadow’s own game. I know there’s a lot of enemies and of course black doom. But every time the stage morphed into radical highway I was hoping to see westopolis or digital circuit instead.
Notice Space Colony Ark and Radical highway is from Sonic Adventure 2? that's 2 levels from 1 game!!! Well Sonic forces level "Enemy Territory" plays a mashup of Westopolis and Radical highway. and the level designers confirmed that the two locations are actually in the same area of the same city. A. their aesthetic is very similar. so it would be redundant to have both of them. B. You can't really remove radical highway since it's Shadow's "Green Hill" level.
@@TheHammerGuy94 i was kinda thinking maybe i am wrong for wanting a level from Shadow the Hedgehog cause, technically The Ark was from SA2 AND Shadow The Hedgehog, but man I still would love a Westopolis with complete chaos with the whole gun vs doom creatures with explosions everywhere. i think they didn't include any tho cause of bad reputation of the game but man I loved Shadow The Hedgehog 2005 as a kid
@@TheHammerGuy94 I believe Radical Highway and Westopolis being a part of Enemy territory has been retconned since Forces. After Tails Tube specifically. The whole idea is that humans live on the larger continents while the anthropomorphic animals live on the smaller land masses. Sunset heights/Enemy Territory is implied to be an animal city and has clearly different architecture/geography than the other two stages. Furthermore Radical Highway and Westopolis are almost certainly human cities.
Space Colony Ark is kinda interesting since it’s sort of an amalgamation of a bunch of Ark levels from SA2 and some sections from Shadow like the interior hallway with the raised platforms on the sides. Act II is pretty much just Final Chase though.
Shame how there is no Shadow 05 Stage in Shadow Gens I would have loved to seen Black Comet or Digital Circuit, I know that the Tokio Level for the Movie 3 DLC is technically Westopolis for this game but its still a different level
Shadow Generations hasn't even been released yet. I'd prefer it if the game had seven zones, six of which have 3 acts each, with Dr. Robotnik as the only boss to fight. Shadow would look better in a 2D pixelated form. The screen scrolls from left to right only. Also, let's see Shadow retrieve all 7 Chaos Emeralds from the chute stages of Mega Drive game Sonic 2. It would be so much easier for the players to complete.
That's literally just Sonic 1 with a few changes, which there are some very minor issues I take with it: 1. Robotnik is just an obstacle to Shadow, not really a threat (Not even in Forces where he took over the world, Shadow was mainly focused on Infinite and the Phantom Doubles) 2. If all Shadow did was collect emeralds and fight robots, he'd just be Emo Sonic with Hover Skates 3. Shadow has the most well defined backstory out of any character, with the only other one coming close being Knuckles and Emerl after him (Almost said Blaze and Silver, but Sega actually doesn't know what to do with them, so it's up in the air whether they're from the future or another dimension) 4. Shadow works best in 3D, especially considering a huge chunk of his abilities are useful for dealing with crowds like Chaos Blast for example (Battle is the only "2D" game he was in, even then there was 3D movement in that one). 5. 2D doesn't necessarily mean easier as shown by Sonic 2 Game Gear, Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels, or any other old NES era game that's not Kirby or on the Game Boy

@@nickmustay we needed some Shadow The Hedgehog representation
The stages they picked for Shadow Generations was great
Agreeeeed

Missed opportunity but..
For Radical highway, would have also been cool to see the Generations 3D versions in the comparison
This is my favorite collection of stages in any Sonic game.
Would’ve loved to see Black Comet or Final Haunt
3:45 | Shadow Generations is a massive glow up compared to Sonic Forces.

Sega should NOT hire bro
