Yes it was very interesting to see, it was my first time just a few weeks ago as well and I didn't really see it as that much of a risky trip at the time.

2 weeks prior to the accident is not July 18.... Do you mean June 18?

No, this video was taken roughly 2 weeks before the incident, the incident took place on July 18th. Sorry for the confusion.

It's such a beautiful place. I'm so saddened about the accident. My guess is a mechanical failure happened. If the bus is in low range with a crawl ratio I shouldnt be able to go as fast as the witness in the news described seeing during the accident:(

That would be my guess as well. Either Mechanical failure with the unit not actually going into low range, or driver error and not realizing that it wasn't in low range till it was too late. A tragic result whatever the cause

The first song is " I'll Follow you" by Density & Time. It is on the audio library from you tube.

I hope not, I'm sure they will find a root cause during the investigation and they will be able to correct it. There are accidents all the time at large tourist attractions and for the large extent the attractions open back up after some changes and people return.

@@filipinocanadianbrotvchann3855 Unfortunately there is risk in everything you do. You just need to determine what risk level you are willing to take for yourself. To be honest I think this is typically a pretty low risk activity. I would think after doing it that you would have a higher risk of hitting your head from slipping on the ice stepping off the bud on the glacier than anything else. Whistler or Blackcome had that big issue with a chair lift a few years back but it doesn't slow down the number of people who still ski there.
