@@TJANDMAC it’ll be a learning curve at the start for the do’s and don’ts coming from vic we arnt allowed to drive on the beach 🙄 we have a loaded Colorado so we should be ok 👌
That's wicked. I'm heading to moreton in 2 weeks for the first time so this is super helpful for me. I've got a few mates coming with that have been there but good to know for myself
Weather looks much nicer than my last visit over there lol thankfully I was part of a very large group so we had the permanent tents booked out at Bulwer, so no packing up wet tents. Got me keen to go back though... Ferry prices are absolute robbery though.
Nice helpful summary, but wow Morten has changed. When were vehicle and camping permits introduced? There used to be wild brumbies, wild goats, wild pigs, snakes, lizards and fruit bats feeding at night.
I can remember when the dolphins used to come in all along the northern part of the Western beach. Mainly when fishermen cleaned their catch and threw the frames into the water. That somehow turned into the resort controlling the feeding and turning a profit from it. Not exactly ethical. Moreton is an awesome place to visit though.
Thanks TJ. We have never been, but heading over in October. Can you please advise where the easiest spot and best spot is for a caravan? Struggling to find any sort of info on this!
Hi guys! Thanks for the video, just wondering if the island is suitable for a Great Wall x240, as it’s my first 4wd and I’d like to hone my skills in Moreton. Any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. 😂
Moreton Island has some public toilets around the place. If you need numbers 1s, go in the surf! Number 2s, take a chemical toilet with you or go for a drive and use the public toilets.
Yeah, good info for people like me who haven’t gone yet. We’ll probably try a run soon.
thanks Michael ! definitely :)
Would live to see something like this for Frazer, it was very helpful and got me wanting to go now hahah

Yeah man I feel like a lot of people don’t understand how nice it is over there

Thanks TJ. We have never been, but heading over in October. Can you please advise where the easiest spot and best spot is for a caravan? Struggling to find any sort of info on this!
Great episode 👏 definitely keen on other vids like this for some of the major spots. Are you allowed fires over there?
oh yep you can have fires, need your own timber though :)
Castaways shop at Bulwer sells firewood if carrying it over is a problem.

So exhausting getting to the top of those sand dunes
TJ 비디오 너무 멋집니다. VAN도 멋집니다. 당신의 여행을 응원합니다. 영상이 너무 멋지네요
What’s your opinion on camping at blue lagoon
havent actually done that camp yet so not sure sorry :)
We did shoping there and the beer was cheaper then brissy
Hey TJ you running wheel spacers or a sick off set. Looks tuff
0mm offset wheels Steven 🤙
The best
We need a hoodie or flanno drop bro
Yeehaaaa yep about 2 weeks away my man 😬😝😎
@@TJANDMAC yeowww music to my ears homie ❤️
Would a RAV4 4WD handle this trip?
sssshhhhh!!! Don't tell everyone about Moreton 🙂
Is it safe to leave your camping gear at a spot if you travel during the day?
We have never had any issues doing so 😎
Holy smokes those ferry prices are a bit of a stitch up.
mines over 5.2m so bit more expensive , but yeah, lil steep
I paid $440 return for my trip last week. That included vehicle permit. We rented a house in Cowan, so no camping fees. My car is right on 5.2m.
@@anthonydoherty1599 it’s a fkn ferry not return flights to Bali, I can’t believe how expensive that it.
@@JamesyMusial14 It’s crazy hey. Gouging over Easter the dirty bastards.
What do you use for toilets when remote camping?
Moreton Island has some public toilets around the place. If you need numbers 1s, go in the surf! Number 2s, take a chemical toilet with you or go for a drive and use the public toilets.
Used to be horses - my first visit we had to chase brumbies off our groceries
I've seen the pigs before
It looks nice but not for those prices that just robbery
yep it can get pricey at peak times ! mines slightly more expensive due to length :)
First
Got it 💪
