I am supportive of the Blingual Educational Project implemented in Jamaica. At the same time the pros and cons of this program should also be addressed. Patois is not spoken or understood universally and therefore should only be used in it's proper context. English is a standard language used worldwide, when implemented properly it can create meaningful outcomes. You must know when and how to converse with either language to achieve your goal. I'm happy to see there's a push towards making Patois more acceptable in the Jamaican culture and recognized worldwide .

I think the Cassidy JLU Writing system being incorporated into the educational system in Jamaica, is the key.
