When Kamelot toured with their album Silverthorn, Elize ryd also with. She sings so good live! And Amaranthe is friggin awesome :D I am going to do the same thing, only i live in the Netherlands :P
Holy fack does that girl singer give me the chills. Her singing is unreal. Not to mention basically my dream girl, she's gorgeous, Swedish, AND can sing!! Side not, honestly thought she said FUUCK at the end and then I was like oh right tak is thank you in Swedish or whatever
I must say you're wrong :) Go see them live and you will notice it yourself. Rhythm guitar is not needed, not even in solo parts. Jake also sings really well and does the harmonies while they are needed :D
The vocalists all sound good, but the instruments aren't. The amount of energy Elize and the other singers put out, though, more than make up for the shitty instruments. So, yeah, it would be.
If I were them I'd put the screamer on rhythm guitar as well. Looks so lame with one guitarist when you clearly can hear a rhythm guitar on the backing track.
Its actually this band are sub genre of Melodic Death Metal, maybe you need some educating. Metalcore is a broad fusion genre of extreme metal and hardcore punk. look it up and you will see

I think this band has too much going on. Are three vocalists really necessary? Not to mention the girl is extremely talented, and could easily be singing in a band like Nightwish or Epica, so what she's doing here I'm entirely sure. Is it power metal? Metalcore? Symphonic metal? I don't know, they're trying to do too much at once. If they dropped the screamer, and kept the clean vocalist guy, and the girl, I think it would be a little better.
the band is good like this.. i like their style of power metal with metalcore. The only thing they should change is the screamer and put another one. They also could put another guitarrist, they need 2 guitars.
She actually aduditioned for Nightwish when they lost their first singer. When Anette left they asked her again, but she chose to stay with Amaranthe. She filled in a couple of shows when they toured together though.They even got their name from an Nightwish song.. they are huge fans.
Franco Galiotti They got another one now, this guy left. They sound pretty much the same from what I've heard thus far though. Third album out soon, so time will tell.
In an interview they actually got asked if they knew how they got so famous so fast, and they said its because they have an unique style, not like the mainstream metal that a bunch of bands are getting famous with. so thats why they have it like this, to be unique. I still agree with you though.

It's mostly because of the mixing, because she can sing really well, the drums sounds HUGE (lol), everything right. But the mixing is not there yet!
