I showed this song and its video to my partner. Its an amazing song but the video does carry an important message. Don't ever part ways angry. You don't know whats around the corner.
Anyone who has gone through a bad breakup can relate to this song. The lines "Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm the chosen one" and "Why am I the only one that lost it all" really hit home.
I don't care if it's metal, pop-rock, hard-rock or what not. I just think the song is awesome xDD

Don't understand how rock/metal heads hate this music and complain about every detail of every song, I've been a Metal head for only 3 years and love anything from super soft Simple Plan and Fabor Drive to BFMV, Within Temptation and A7X to crazy Heavy like Impending Doom, Whitechapel, Kataklysm, .. You name it. So when I first heard The Nexus by these guys I was like, "hell ya this shit rocks!" Seriously people, the more you learn to love more kinds of music the better off you'll be. Instead of looking and sounding like whining and complaining children with nothing better to do you'll be able to listen nonstop to so much good bloody music out there and actually enjoy your life. Peace!
Amen, brother. One thing I've learned in my 14 years of metalheadness is that some metalheads are the most elitist pricks you can possibly imagine. It's all "oh, this isn't heavy enough to be TRUE metal..." "if it doesn't stick to THIS EXACT FORMULA it can't be metal..." blah blah blah... you only have to look at the negative reactions to Babymetal to see how pathetic the metal elitists are and I just feel like screaming "dude, just shut the fuck up and enjoy the damn music!" If you like it, great, if not, then piss off and leave those of us who do to go about our business... it's like they don't know where the big red X button in the corner of their web page is lol

I'm not just a metalhead, I rather enjoy every bit of Rock and sometimes mixes of rock and something else. My fav band's Linking Park and I totally agree with you lot.
I think this band has some special and great music and can't really understand why people hate on them so much. Really foolish, they're missing out on much. :)

After all these years of searching, I don't know I found another band this versatile.
I've definitely never heard a band that's as vocally unique as these guys. And I'm kinda a sucker for bands with strong vocalists, so consider me a fan
I love how people complain about bands always sounding the same, but then turn right around and complain about bands trying something new... And music is supposed to be about the story within the song, so instead of just hearing the music try listening for once. Other than my rant I really do like this band :)
People that bitch about this kinda metal is the people that listen to "hardcore" metal where you barely can heard the words, so obvioisly they aren't used to listening to what is being song.
I know right why can't people get a fucking life and grow up i mean if a band wants to change no one can stop them it's their decision not anyone else's

Im a man and 39 years old, but this gave me tears in my eyes. I was a young firefighter in training (17Y), had a few basic courses, and this was my first assignment.
I remember that 23Y young girl....She wanted to commit suicide and rammed a tree with her car at full speed. I was next to her and at that moment she had changed her mind and wanted to live....but we had no chance :-( I will never forget her face nor her last words.

Oh my god, how have I never heard them before? They're brilliant! The music is gorgeous, and both of the singers have wonderfully pleasant voices. I'll definitely check out some of their other stuff.

I went through a divorce after 26 years of marriage; this song sums up all the rage, betrayal, regret, and sadness I feel. I have wanted her to "burn with me" for this betrayal. I realize I have to let her go as an act of love and getting on with my own life. Ultimately, death (marriage or actual) is final and all you have left is memories.

Male cleans scream hard-rock, female cleans scream pop, screams are somewhere between metalcore and death metal, instrumental is somewhere between hard-rock, power metal and metalcore. I don't even know what to think, I can't get hooked on it, but I can't say I don't dislike it from track to track. Definitely talent here.

Ignis King serius/xm has been playing them on octane. They started with the segment "when worlds collide" and then put them in the regular rotation. Drop Dead Cynical made top ten on their countdown and Digital World is around 12 or so now. They used to be my favorite band nobody ever heard of but now they are getting some play time and people have heard of them. I did stumble on them like you said though.

For me this song reminds me of my best friend who passed away 2 almost 3 years ago (at the time of this comment). The face of the male singer at the end of the song when he realized that his final words to Elize’s character was words of anger he regretted it. The point that I am trying to make is don’t do things that you will regret doing or in my case not doing. I never told my best friend how I felt about her before she passed. So I live with that regret.

What an epic song, my favorite of Amaranthe. I both love the voices - Elize is a georgeous vocalist - and the musician skills of the whole band. Besides that, I also love songs with some short, iconic parts. I absolutely fell in love with that one bassnote right before the first chorus 😍😍 (btw the whole bassline is great).

It's like a medium sized independent corporation, acting as a soul entity, brought the theatrics back to metal on a Iron Maiden / Kind Diamond level and added a dash Thrash Metal, Power Pop Nineties-esqu vocals and Drama worthy of TNT....and I absolutely love it.
this isn't pop music. this is alternate metal. there is a huge difference.
I prefer female vocalists in my music. I just do. I don't have a reason why or a real thought process behind it, I just do.
