So I was watching football yesterday and Jacob, from RR, messaged me and said “Just finished this up would you be interested”. So I jumped on it. Great review. I have this same bible. I love single column bibles, and this one is done well. The font size, words per line, line spacing all make for easy reading. Very good value for the money, in my opinion.
Great Bible. I love my CSB bible and use it everyday. I use it for BSF and for just devotional study. It adds dimension to my overall time in the Word. Thanks again for another great review!
Holman now has an updated 2020 text version with different leather -- CSB Single Column in Saddle Genuine Leather. Holman also has two new Handcrafted editions of this bible coming out soon including a marbled leather edition! Would you be reviewing those new editions?
I bought the black leathersoft edition when I wanted a copy of the CSB. I like it! It goes with me to church, and serves as a reference for study when I want to check the CSB. Sturdy and nice looking, and economical.
Good Review Tim! I too seem to be "falling in love" with the CSB. I read through the CSB this year and ended up doing it in the CSB Study Bible. Which was great. But then I got this like 2 weeks after I finished. lol. This would have been fantastic to just sit and read for sure!
Nice review Tim. I have one similar (single column, black letter text). Mine has the sanctified plastic cover. It only cost me about $20. On a side note, I love the hat! :)

I have this Bible! It's fantastic for the price. My only real criticism is that the columns are too wide. I'd love to see the columns be narrower, like in the NKJV SCR Premiere.
Hey Tim, do you know if they will be doing a Holman Handcrafted version of this? Or something similar. Your reviews of the VBV and SCWM were helpful, but I can't decide which I prefer or whether something like this would be better as my first premium bible purchase. Haha.
I’d replace the concordance and maps with more notepaper! 🙂 I don’t need a concordance in a bible that size. That size or slightly bigger are my favorite footprints.
I have bought this one just to check the CBS translation. I was a little mad at them because I believe the HCSB had much of interest and they decided to transform their Bible into a more traditional translation. Once I receive my copy from Amazon I hope it will prove a worthy version.

Yes, it does. You can see it in the overhead section when I flip to the NT.
The NKJV version came out around 2010 and the ESV Single Column Legacy appeared in 2018. Thus was before Reader’s Bibles showed up on the market.
i hope csb makes journaling bibles similar to esv with faint lines and a variety of covers.
