    Getting the pick up tabs into the motor were a PITA because you did not do them properly. In the plastic chassis in front of the motor that the wire tabs go into release and open up from the side. Pop them up, slide the wire tabs in then lock them back down. You will notice there is a hole in the wire tab that interlocks with the chassis retaining tabs.

    Back in the '70s nothing could beat those old Tyco Pro cars in a drag race . Including the first generation G Pluses

    Use O-rings for the front tires, that’s pretty much your only option. I used to have a handful of tycopros, the best solution I found for that wonky tab setup was to vent the endbell exposing the commutator/brushes, then carefully drill holes in the endbells above where the brush barrels push in. You re-wire from the wipers and eliminate those tabs, running the wires into the holes you drilled making direct contact with the brush barrels.

    Nice to see a video come up was gettin Worry about you love seeing your videos and the content you bring everyone in the slot car community. Can’t wait to see the racing next week. We just a big race down here in so cal in riverside at MRC raceway it was on my home track. Look it up sometime when you get a minute they have two really big tracks.     you can get a small pack of o rings at home depot or lowes ect that work very well

    I love running my Tyco Pro chassis I have reinforced one myself it seems to be doing pretty good I'm getting ready to replace the motor with a Tony motor

    Would you say those motors are the same as the cox superscale stuff ?

    the motor is from a cruvehugger not tyco pro
