- In this video I give a complete fish room tour of all my tanks. I focus mainly on the current progress of breeding my rare Corydoras and exotic plecos, and what fish you can expect to be available this Spring. I also show some new fish for the first time, and discuss adding three of the new Aqueon 60 Breeder fish tanks.

Just bought a para pleco l75 and he's been awesome! (I still have the l397 from you doing well and growing! Just like to hide though)
I Love my corydoras eques. I’m still having trouble getting them to breed…the males are will and ready but the females are quite stubborn. My favorite Plecos are my L046 (still a bit young to spawn) and my L236 standard and super whites. Of the standards, I currently have 1 male with fry in a breeder box and another male on eggs in the tank 😍. The super whites are quickly approaching breeding size 🤞
I will get my Eques in Saturday and am a proud owner of 6x L260 😁
I have bread some bronze Cory's and regular bristle nose, but would love to get into the lasers. I really like the orange the most and green next I think.

Looking good, so many tanks and all look so clean. 60 breeders look like a cool size tank to try.

Your update made my afternoon Tom, everything is so clean and beautiful I'm happy the CW-49 spawned for you that's awsome I was never able to get mine replaced from the fishfarm , instead they gave my orange/gold Laser's 4 , 1 died but the 3 are well ,so in stuck with 1 CW-49 it's with my c.adolphoi group. I know you know this, but Adolfoi and CW 049 are both lineage 9. They can cross breed. It’s been a difficult Cory but finally having some success feels good. P

Plecos are currently popular. I prefer tiny pleco. Because my tank is a small nano tank. So Parotocinclus fits it and looks like pleco but is not pleco, however it's still pleco as pet because of the similarity of the characteristics. So I decided to have it. Now I love it. I hope Paratocinclus will be a new popular genre equivalent to Pleco.

Hi Tom! thanks for another fantastic video. You must spend several days cleaning those tanks before a video shoot, because they are immaculate! --so envious. I was watching in earnest when I noticed that there was one quick shot of a tank that I think had tiger barbs in it. It was quick but I think I saw a Platinum Green Tiger in there. Did my eyes deceive me? I just spawned my Platinums this week and I'll be showing off the fry setup in this week's coming Live-Stream. I really love those Barbatus as well. I would love to get some as soon as it gets easier to get them across the border. Glad to see the Leopard Frogs doing so well. I hit speed bump is all and what's left of my colony ended up as all males. So now I'm waiting for the next group to mature which will likely be next year. Glad to see you're keeping it real.

I’d love to add cw111. $500 per fish for a Corydoras is a bit too rich for me. When they come down to $50-75 I’ll pounce on a group. Give it 5 years.

Thanks. I’ve never been a TH-camr that pumps out a ton of content. Every minute spent on TH-cam is less time for the fish. TH-cam is an extension of my hobby, not a primary focus. I don’t want to create content just for the sake of creating content. I’m worried people would find it boring and repetitive. I’ll have to think this one over. ✌️

Hi Tom, I have just moved 250+ eating fry of CW009, from 3 females, to their first tanks. Have had 90% hatch rate with 100% RO with 1/2 a tsp of Sera re-mineralising salt per 10 liter bucket. Adding 2 alder cones in a 1.5 liter tub with fair airation. Changing 90% every day and adding a new cone every time. YT channel Mischief and Fins said he could not use MB in RO water for some reason and I've killed 400+ parallelus eggs before I started doing as per above (instead of MB). Hard water seems to work with MB but not RO.

What brand is the frybox in your L260, 40b tank? I like that it is a hang on like my finnex ones.
My favorite cory is my pygmaeus. The fry are the teeniest & cutest ever. Of the larger corys, I like the julii. Plecowise I like the L471 and of course L046.
Ziss BL-2. I also like the true julii. Don’t see them very often. Most sold under that name are actually trilineatus.

Question: Where do you get your rectangle plates of slate?
Those came from Menards. Sadly, my local Menards no longer Carrie’s them. Home Depot carriers a slate tile that can easily be cut with a wet saw.

Yep, no problem. Pencilfish are peaceful fish. Just buy as many as possible. In smaller groups, the males can become territorial and aggressive towards sub dominate males, and can aggressively court the females. For breeding, I recommend a single pair or trio with lots of plants and hiding places.
What are your water changes like on your more stocked tanks? How often/ how much do you change?
How can I get some Orange Venezuelan Corydoras from you? I just began keeping Corydoras for the first time, and I have 7 of them growing out.

How many Cory cats do you have in breeding tank?
Love your fish room and fish. Question I have two stores that take all of the super red bristle nose short and long fin I can make and ask for more,I love leopard frog plecos and one store wants me to get into them. My question is do you believe I could overwhelm there ability to sell them? I have always figured that most people will spend the money for a bristle nose and not sure if enough would be willing to spend the money for a leopard frog? I don’t want to ship and sold directly to people ( still do for old customers) but have been turned of by a few,its just easier to walk into stores with bag and walk out.
Good question. Depends on the market and how they price the L134. One of my LFS gets them from time to time. They can sit there for quite a while before he sells them. He prices them fair at around $80/ea. The bushynose appeals to the masses since most people will gladly spend $10 on a fish. Most people are not willing to spend $80 on an L134 except for pleco enthusiasts. If I didn’t ship, I wouldn’t be breeding them. If my intent was to supply the LFS, I’d focus on all types of bushynose plecos, panda Corydoras, cherry shrimp, cherry barbs and some tetras.

What is your water hardness in your fish room. I moved now I’m on a well and I’m having a hard time breeding plecos where I didn’t before.
My tap water is 450 TDS. pH is 8.2-8.4. I use RO water remineralized with tap water at about a 3:1 ratio.

Never gonna understand why plecos are a popular fish in the hobby... they are defo contenders for the most boring fish species ever!
