The most informative video by far. All the other people say "they're all good just pick what you want." This guy gets to the point and gives us the truth.
Razer's cam has no business being that good for a webcam, it absolutely blew all the other webcams away for way less than the 1080p pro camera (particularly once you factor in all the kit needed to use it)
Based on my experience, the Razer webcam certainly didn't blow all other webcams away. Also my experience with Razer kit is that it tends to deteriorate quite quickly and I'd seriously question it's robustness. I tend to move around with kit and robustness matters a lot to me and on that basis I've dismissed Razer as an option and tend to avoid their kit. If I'm going to invest that much in kit I want something that will last so on that basis, Razer just isn't for me. Logitech have a good reputation for a reason but I'm starting to like Elgato's kit more and more, especially their software.
Other way around, a lot of the other products have no business being priced as high as they are. Elgato for example 50% of the price is just the branding. But in case of Razer, all their s@*t is literally designed to break (planned obsolescence). Sadly alot of companies intentionally design their products to fail after a set time frame (generally just long enough for your average consumer to consider buying another one). Its a way for companies to double dip on sales numbers without having to constantly innovate.
I use the Logitech Brio Camera often. You can connect it to a stand or tripod. All you have to do is take off the monitor clip from the bottom of the camera. The Logitech camera has been around for some time and the features are well documented. Please consider looking at the products a bit closer when offering a review like this as I use the Brio as an overhead camera without any issues. But thanks for the overall review as this has made me look into the Razor camera as a secondary option.
The Brio is awful for its price. Been using it for three years now and I would not buy it when there are new, superior, alternatives on the market that didn't exist back when the Brio released.

I had the Logitech c270 for a LONG time and over all I was really happy with it. I didn't care for something like super high end at the time but it was able to look great for the price. I still think it holds up now for someone who is starting out and can upgrade later down the road.

Do NOT try and unscrew the monitor mount on the BRIO. Pull it straight out. You'll see why when you do. There's two grooves on the plug that fit into two slots in the screw threads.
This was a great video. Probably the best I've seen on the subject, but reading through the comments, I feel the need to give my 2 cents. I have the Kijo Pro and Facecam Pro, along with a ton of other webcams, a mirrorless, a DSLR, and a camcorder that I've used for streaming. I too was impressed with the Kijo out of the box. Razer is really good about having their products configured very well from the factory. It doesn't hold a candle to the Facecam once it's fully dialed in though. That's where the Facecam's real magic lies. With the exposure, iso, white-balance, focus, etc all set manually, I would choose the Facecam Pro over the Kijo Pro almost always, at least for my use cases. And it does matter exactly how you'll be using them, your setting, and how technical you want to get in setting them up. The one area where the Facecam is arguably inferior to the Kijo is the saturation of background lighting in extreme situations. It tends to over saturate a bit, but only when I have bright colored lights in the background and only with certain colors. When the background is a bit dimmer or less colorful, it looks more true to life. And honestly, I kind of like how it looks over saturated. It's more how I wish my lighting looked. I use a green screen most of the time now though, so background lighting isn't a concern at all. For this purpose, I think my Facecam Pro is my best looking camera I have hands down. It looks better than my "real cameras" when all I have to do is record my face. That 4k level of detail is really insane. It has a very wide FoV, so I use it cropped in a lot and it still looks fantastic.

I've got a Sony A7R4 camera with 24-70mm f2.8, I could use as I don't get time to do photography like I used to, but curious if that setup vs using a Brio 4k i already have is worth the hassle.
I own a Sony a6500 already so that seems like the perfect route for me! Could you maybe link the brand of dummy battery you use? Thanks in advance! This video is awesome 😁
I currently have a Canon R6 that I used for photography. Would I be able to use that as a webcam for streaming? If so, what additional cables/devices would I need?
you have to check and see which cameras can do that for a long period of time. some will straight up not like that and overheat. you could consider using a camcorder and hooking that up somehow.
I thought the Sony ZV-E10 was only 720 for streaming. I currently have the Logitech Brio. In really good lighting it's fantastic, but in low light, it starts to loose a fair bit of quality. I really enjoyed this review though. Subscribed! :)
Hi there! I have a question! I'll buy myself a PS5 in the next few weeks for recording gameplay videos for TH-cam. I will use it on a LG C3 OLED 4K TV that is mounted on the wall. I have a Sony ZV-1 Mark 2 4K camera that I will use it to record my face while commenting what I play. Is there any possibility that I can record my face in 4K with the camera in OBS even If my PC monitor is only 1080p? I want that because I also have a Røde NT USB Mini mic which is really good and powerful compared to what the camera has. So I would like to have the video from the camera and the voice from the external USB-C mic. Do you have any idea on how to do that? If I record myself with just the camera it will also pick up the audio in the background with the gameplay from the PS5..even if I have an external Sony mic for it (that because I'll not be using headphones for the PS5). :)) Any idea on how to record my face in 4K and have the audio in the recording from the powerful external mic? 4K capture card, maybe? Thanks! :))
Is anybody else having a problem with their Brio not connecting well in OBS? Mine either freezes or gets weird color glitches in OBS, and I end up having to disconnect and reconnect it over and over until it finally calms down after about 15 minutes. It seems to work just fine in Zoom.

Can I use the Razer Pro on IMac?
the brio unscrews from the tv mount so you can use it on a stand awesome video thank you
The video has focused on image quality, but what about setup. I know getting a A6000, or ZV-E10 will require something like Camlink 4k to use as a webcam, but do they work out the box, reliability as a webcam. I've got a Sony A7R4 camera with 24-70mm f2.8, I could use as I don't get time to do photography like I used to, but curious if that setup vs using a Brio 4k i already have is worth the hassle.
Honestly the elgato webcam is pretty good if you set it correctly with the right lighting.
Can I get a link to that tripod you are using?
Nice Video. Keep it up.
Great video!
I own a Sony a6500 already so that seems like the perfect route for me!
Could you maybe link the brand of dummy battery you use?
Thanks in advance! This video is awesome 😁
The razer adds like a weird dark outline of your body making it look like you're using a green screen and like the background isn't real lol.
does the razer kiyo pro work with windows 11?
I have a Sony ZF1 can I use that or do I need a webcam?
I finally thought I had all the gear to start streaming smh…
I currently have a Canon R6 that I used for photography. Would I be able to use that as a webcam for streaming? If so, what additional cables/devices would I need?
you have to check and see which cameras can do that for a long period of time. some will straight up not like that and overheat. you could consider using a camcorder and hooking that up somehow.
I wish I had seen this before LOL, thanks man.😅
@thevideonerd how do I join the discord? I tried the link but it says address invalid?
Can the razor webcam work good if I am far back
The ZV-e10 should not look that bad. I think the issue is that you have to set it for the room. The others are more automatic.
I thought the Sony ZV-E10 was only 720 for streaming. I currently have the Logitech Brio. In really good lighting it's fantastic, but in low light, it starts to loose a fair bit of quality. I really enjoyed this review though. Subscribed! :)
It’s 720p if it is through a USB-C cable, instead of an HDMI. With HDMI it is 1080p or 4K depending on settings
Logitech or Razer is probably your best "bang-for-your-buck" typa thing
Any idea on how to record my face in 4K and have the audio in the recording from the powerful external mic? 4K capture card, maybe? Thanks! :))
good stuff Thank u bro!
Is anybody else having a problem with their Brio not connecting well in OBS? Mine either freezes or gets weird color glitches in OBS, and I end up having to disconnect and reconnect it over and over until it finally calms down after about 15 minutes. It seems to work just fine in Zoom.
