Just got mine and…WOW!!!!! In STEREO…Stunning, even in combo with Timeline, and other delays. Absolutely sublime. Been sitting here for HOURS and can’t stop playing. Do not hesitate. This pedal is a-ma-zing.
Ohh that bit around 13mins in. Pete in 'Going Home' mode. Just glorious!
I absolutely love this smaller line of pedals! I am keeping my fingers crossed for an El Cap version.
A mini Deco, perhaps?
@@joehoppard814 One can dream.
Agreed, they are great albeit expensive.
@@JayTheLaneI’d say compared to the mk2 pedals, they’re actually pretty good value. I have the Cloudburst and now the Brig (thanks, Anderton’s), and they’re both amazing - like the greatest hits without being too complicated, but midi capable which is fantastic. Highly recommended! 😊
Incredible ! I use the cloudburst / deco2/ el cap 2/ live on my 5 string Dingwall bass and it is utterly beautiful ! Strymon = just awesome
This pedal sounds insane! Could you guys put together a pedalboard of all your favourite strymon pedals? That would make an amazing video
Superb demonstration Mr Lee and Mr Pete.
BRILLIANT intro, Mr Pete! 😁
Such great dynamics on that intro! Nice
That was some inspiring playing. That pedal sounds incredible, but Pete made it sing.
Wonderful playing Pete...!!
I think we just take it for granted that Pete turns up to work and continuously comes up with inspired playing on a day to day basis.Even on Mondays ! No mean feat indeed.

WOW - that is a nice sounding delay pedal!!
Strymon make stunning sounds.
Incredible pedal!
Strymon does it again, wow…what an awesome pedal!
Hell yeah man. Sounds fantastic.
At first I didn’t like how it sounded …but after listening to all the features…I like it.
Although I bought one after only one view/listen…..I’ve watched this video four times now. Pete’s playing is so good, I’ll probably watch it again.
Glad to see the Purple “GOAT” Tele makes it’s return, sounds so cool, takes an amazing player like Pete, but, nonetheless, an outstanding guitar
I have to ask, GOAT?
Greatest of all time
I don't know about Strymon, but Pete made awesome sounds, chapeau bas!
Yes, I will buy that! Really cool. Crisp. Like in a dream.
Thanks, it's very usefull how Pete uses the delay as professionial player, and switches - for example - from a large space room to a rockabilly sound from the 1950s - only changing the tempo with the footswitch. This is very helpfull : )
Although it has most definitely been mentioned in the comments already… I just wanted to thank you Pete for the opportunity to share the experience of your playing while testing out the multi mode in this video 🙏🏾
It is beautiful beyond words and clearly resonated with both yourself and Lee. And I’m more than happy to say.. me too.
Cannot and will not stop listening to it… Thanks again 🙏🏾😌❤️
The Brig and The Dane!
@12:45 sold me. Once you kicked on the Dane with the mix. Fire!
I'm sold on this one! 🔥🔥🔥
Sounds, tone, versatility... Sold!
Pete knocked it the fuck outta da park! Great guitar playing great video 🔥🔥🔥😎🤘🏾
And By the way, Pete ! Man.. Hats off. What a soulful player
that note division wooo, baby!
Thank you in advance, retrospectively !
It’s really cool that they’re starting to fit the smaller Strymon pedals into this new even smaller footprint. But……wouldn’t it be even more amazing if they could fit a new timeline in the form factor of the El Cap?!
little wing and Angel would sound great through this with the strymon blue sky. It's very smooooth sounding.
Bloody'ell...Pete was on fire again!
The key word is #Emulation. A digital reproduction of classic bucket brigade chips used in Analog Delays from the 1970s-80s-90s.
The Panasonic MN3005 chips were used in the #HolyGrail EHX Deluxe Memory Man and BOSS DM-2 Analog Delays. Gotta add modulation (chorusing) to the repeats for extra grooviness. The Panasonic chips started to run out in the early 2000s, as Panasonic no longer made them. Newer models of the Panasonic bucket brigade chips were also used over the years MN3008, MN3205, etc...including Chinese copies.
What amps do you guys use? En which one is left or right? Sounds really good!❤
That's a nifty little pedal, beautifully demonstrated.
I just wana know what amps and speakers he's playing through. Sounds freaking awesome.
do you have to use a 1/4" TRS to mono split cable when running to two amps? I only see one output jack
Strange question maybe, but where can I get a pedal stand like the one the Brig is displayed on at 1:24?
5:38 Pete: “Filter Collins is it?!?” 😂😂😂 Pete, you’re a good man!
Does this pedal process the left and right channel of stereo input separately, or does it blend them first? The blending seems to happen with the Cloudburst, which is the only thing that bothers me about it.
That sounds very lush indeed.
The Brig is nice, but I was hoping for a smaller version of the Timeline with 3 or 4 types of delays, similar to how the Blue Sky was a smaller version of the Big Sky with 3 types of Reverb.
Blue Sky came first, though. And not that it isn’t a decent idea, but Strymon has mainly dedicated themselves to nailing the tone of specific, iconic tools or effects. You don’t need a mini strymon multi effect. Could be cool as an entry level/Swiss army knife board.
Can you start adding the tab on screen like a ticker tape across the bottom or something for the noodling bits Pete is playing or whatever - cause we all want to learn and play like Pete!
It's definitely loaded. 😁🎸✌
GTFO!!!! Why do they ALWAYS have to be THIS GOOD! New Strymon release day ALWAYS hit me in the heart AND the checking account!
I like how it sounds like such an encompassing, surrounding delay but it doesn't drown out the original sound.
Epic performance, Pierre
I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve listened to the section that starts around 12:30 when the Dane is kicked it. I’m not surprised you both seem to have an emotional reaction - I know I do regardless of how many listens.
same, listened probably 10 times to that section
Ok. Thought it would wear off. Have listed to this at least another dozen times since originally posting. That section is about the best 30 seconds of improv I’ve ever heard.
A smaller version of the Volante with just the essential 'drum' controls would be nice. They could call it the 'Vol-au-vent'.
nice distorted playing by danish pete. sold me.
Danish Pete outplayed himself on this one. Fantastic stuff.
Chills at 17:27. Seriously Pete you should write an album based on those licks.
Does it have a momentary delay mode?
I could listen to Pete all day long
Pete is a fantastic player…inspiring…and a good guy all round.
Agree 100% - he is the Reason I religiously watch Andertons TV

Strymon and Meris are leagues above pretty much everyone else in the pedal and effects world. The build, effect quality and zero noise is what sets these pedals apart. You get what you pay for
And Neunaber, and GFI, and DryBell and Dawner Prince. You can hear the difference between manufacturers who work methodically towards a goal, a specific sound, versus those who solder components together in different combinations to see what they get.
almost, If I had to compare this to any other pedal, this doesn't quite have the warmth of the boss re-2
Chase Bliss?
also Empress @@danbentley8747
Strymon can't just keep making bangers all the time, how are they doing it.
Nice sounds man
Strymon pedals great for ambience kind of music
When is Strymon going to make a multi FX with all of these pedals?
When they can figure out a way to make enough money from it to offset the loss in sales of individual pedals.
Could you guys do a review on a new overdrive pedal by EX-Gear called Soul Five please it’s an amazing over drive
LOVE all the Strymon Pedals. ONLY THING that pisses me off is that considering the prices THEY DON'T INCLUDE a power adapter like Eventide does.
What's NOT to love about all the Strymon pedals ! Love the fact Strymon made BigSky and Decco into plugins.... hoping they do the same with Cloudburst and Brig...
Pete looked a bit over it today but in a very funny way.😂
Sort of sounds like Line 6's Echo Park. Wonder how it would compare.
What am I missing? I hear echo with a little chorus... I'm not sure what they are gushing about
I'm waiting for the MKII Big Boxes
Everything sounds good all stereo'd out.
Only The Capt. Can lengthen your life span..😂 Cheers from Newport Beach, CA 🌊
NGL, the Cloudburst didn’t wow me. The Brig did. Buying!
kinda like an El Cap with a mod knob. I like the size and like the Cloudburst, it's easy to get great sounds.
gotta add this to my pedal board. i love my Cloudburst and Brig is a must. fancy the smaller line of pedals. if Strymon released multi pedal version i might as well tempted to get it for my easy travelling. Strymon never disappoint.
amazing pedal! Dont get the tittle of the video tho, this aint a reverb.
Damn ! Thats another Strymon pedal i want 😢
I came for the delay and stayed for the Chorus !!!
haha, the MOD param was at 12'o'clock for the first 25 minutes. I guess you guys REALLY love modulated delay.
18:00 min Sold me! Kind of Strymon Lex sound!
Awesome
Part of me wishes Strymon would make a full modeling unit like a Helix or a Headrush- the other part of me knows I could never afford it if they did so- whatever. I can't even afford their little modeler that does only 3 amps and a few cabs- I can't imagine what a full-sized modeler from them would cost. A unit with all their effects, 30-40 amps, 10-15 cabs- that does stereo out, works as a recording interface, all the usual bells and whistles. Will they ever do it? Is their stuff even fully digital- or is it a hybrid between dig and analogue?
I’d imagine that if they did do a modeling unit, they’d probably have to limit the parameters to adhere to cost? Unless they did something similar to how Boss released their GT 1000 & GT 1000 Core Units. Probably would run about $1,200. 🫠
It would probably be at least $10,000
I haven't heard anything close to the Cloudburst Ensemble modes. It's like a full string orchestra playing with you
is it analog dry through?
Sounds pretty frikin' epic. Is it just me or is it ambiguous on all fronts as to whether this is an actual BBD analog delay or an algorithm?
It’s an algo
I'm just waiting for iridium v2 with an effects loop for goodness sake.
Finally TRS ->TRS, Stereo in /out. I hope Boss s waking up with this.
Does anyone know what 'bucket brigade' means?
like the fire brigade but their fire engine doesn't have a hose pipe.
Make an ultra small one that is just the saturation side of the deco
What are the flashing red numbers?
decibel meter
Sounds ok
Pete was moving units!
Keeley Halo vs Strymon Brig?
Nice pedal but I can get what I consider really good sounds from the Plethora X3 for 100 more and many other included effects. That being said, if I was going for just delay I'd get the Strymon.
If there’s a pedal I need and there’s a strymon version, I buy it. Maybe pedals I don’t need as well 😂😮
Brig = Brigade as in Bucket Brigade.
The Captain is so garrulous these days. For giddy aunt's sake Lee let Pete get a word in edgeways maybe once or twice during the video.
Nice. Very similar sounds to the Volante, without all the fuckery!
This looks like a Mini El Cap. Would be cool if you only needed mono
Perusing the comments, it was posited, "what if Strymon made a full multifx unit?" My brain exploded. Pete, please, I'm begging, please compare the cloudburst with the slower. I'm begging...
The best part is when Pete has a near religious experience when he started playing at 12:46 after finishing that glorious sample
Today I learned:
Bucket brigade delays are a type of digital delay.
Seems obvious now that I know what the word is referencing.
Thanks, Andertons
they're not digital
@@NamelessSmile yeah, I ended up asking strymon and getting a clarification. I'm still not entirely clear on what counts as analog vs digital vs tape. But I learned that bucket brigade chips are analog. Cheers, man!
@@sagittated basically, if any part of the system can store any value rather than just set values then it's analog. So say, the intensity (amplitude) of recording on a tape can be any intensity, whereas the intensity recorded into a computer has to be in steps determined by the bit depth (eg 16bit 16565 amplitude values). Bucket brigade delays are chains of capacitors that are clocked to transfer voltage to the next....but the actual voltage on the capacitors can be any voltage so it's analog. In a nutshell
@@NamelessSmile interesting. Thanks for that. ✌️
SOLD!!! 😂
I’d like to have that purple Tele please…🤘🏼
Jesus Pete… that first riff on Multi. ❤
