Huge king cobra snake attacks woman while she cooks dinner in Thailand

- This is the terrifying moment a massive king cobra attacked a mother as she cooked dinner.
The housewife, Tin, 50, was stirring durian in a gas-powered wok outside her house when a 12ft long black reptile slithered across the driveway.
CCTV shows the killer reptile - with enough venom in a single bite to kill a human within an hour - gliding menacingly towards the unaware woman, who had her back to it while it advanced.

I wouldn't say that was huge, but man it was faster then I imagined, the biggest one I ever saw in Thailand was around 5m long, but it was probably 3 time wider in girth then this one, still I would Sh*t myself if one came up to me while cooking like that, and they are not snakes to be messed with. chills!
I would have a pet mongoose by my side at all times
The snake was attracted by the heat.

Cold blooded animals tend to like warm areas probably sensed the fire and wanted to get close
I live here in Thailand, I had just encountered a cobra attack at my house, my dog barked at it and when I was it I was alarmed, animal control killed the cobra on the spot and we were safe
King cobras are extremely smart snakes; they were never bred for gameness and know they cannot ever eat us. So don't step on or grab a wild one, and it will never do your harm intentionally.

Notice that the snake only attacked when she moved suddenly? That was her startling the snake. So if a snake is by your feet and it would be too late to run away, don't move immediately, just back away gradually and once you're in safe distance, run.
Are king cobras always lethal? Whats the percentage you have of dying...or living?
I remember when I vacationed in Thailand 2019 on Koh Lanta Yai. I rented this little jungle house on airBNB. I was laying flat on my stomach on my bed when I heard this loud smack on the ground, and it was this HUGE black snake that jumped from behind my fridge to catch a frog. And God knows how long it was behind the fridge. I jumped on my bed and started screaming to the top of my lungs and I wanted to run out the door but the snake was right beside it. So I made a run for it. And to this day, whenever I vacation in any remote place, I REFUSE to rent a home that sits flat on the ground. It has to be on stilts or elevated above the ground....
