Shawn Stockton of "Boyz II Men" was a judge on the show "The Sing Off" the year Home Free won. They actual sang together on one of the episodes! Home Free seems to understand when covering classics which ones to honor and stick to the melody of the original song and do their magic to create an AMAZING modern rendition. Rob does such a great job with this one.
My friend, these boys ALWAYS bring it! Pick anything they do, it's done as well as it possibly can be done, and quite possibly better than it's ever been done before.
I love Boyz II Men and have played End of the Road so many times. I never thought I'd ever like a cover of this song. But Home Free did it, while maintaining the respect for the original. How wonderfully sung by all! But for me it is mainly Rob who nailed it. What a great voice with so much soul in it. He touches me deep inside. Of course it is the combination of the other leads, fantastic harmony, bone-feeling bassline and the inhuman vocal percussion that makes it complete. The best A-Cappella group for me!! A real Home Fry from the Netherlands!!😊
HF is the real deal! There's only one mistake you can make with this group...listening to their cover of "Mayday" too soon. In order to get maximum enjoyment, you need to know all the guys and their voices. For most reactors, that takes 6 - 8 reactions to other HF performances. Fortunately, their catalog is BIG!
Totally agree, before attempting May Day, I suggest listening to Folsom Prison, When a Man Loves a Woman, Unchained Melody plus maybe some of Tim Fousts stuff. Then you'll be ready for May Day as they switch stuff up, you'll be surprised who starts off
These guys do an amazing job of this song! They can do any genre including R&B. Rob's voice has so much feeling & soul in it. Austin adding his higher tones, Chance harmonizing in the back, Tim adding some bass & Adam with his fabulous vocal percussion. These guys are my favorite a cappella group out there. All their songs are good whether it is serious, heart warming or funny.
The question to ask is always: Will the original band/singer be ashamed of this cover? I think Boyz 2 Men is happy with this. And introducing a new generation to their song.
Check out a concert of Home Free's where Austin forget the words and audience falls more in love with them than before. This is the video ....Colder Memory Lapse - What They Were Thinking
I listen to a ton of reactors....Julia, Charismatic, Barber...all provide me an education as to what I'm hearing...With you? I see / hear complete enjoyment of the performance without any filters or BS....Great job!
My friend you have got a lot catching up to do, I mean a lot. Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole give a listen to their songbook both group and solo projects.
Just pick a song and go these men never disappoint every cover song they do they do it with their own style and they hit it out of the ballpark every time.. I Love my Home Free these men are not of this world there's no way..🏡🆓🏡🍟
Yeah, when they do something to do it right for sure! They're fantastic live! If they ever come close you must go! If you like different genres try, to see their fun side and some of their true side try Hillbilly Bone ( timmons property with his pets and their friends.) Loved your reaction keep up the good work!!
They seem to make every cover their own. In The Blood by John Mayer is awesome. As well as Dreamer. I'm not sure who sang that. Take Me Home Country Roads is more gospel than Country. Pick any song and enjoy .❤️
You should watch Man of Constant Sorrow next, yes it's country but you can really see whom is singing what and making the instrument sounds! It's freaking amazing! Great reaction! 😊
Home Free really doesn’t mess up. They’re too talented. When they were on the Sing Off, Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men was a judge and he loved them. I think they did justice to the song. Rob (lead here) killed it. Loved Tim’s low notes. They just have such good harmonies. Good reaction Toney!
Love these guys! Really enjoy your reactions. I've said it before and people may be tired of hearing it, but these guys could sing the warning label on a bottle of cyanide and make it sound appealing. Lol! Here's one that I think you'll really appreciate reacting to Home Free: Drum Solo [SPM ST15]. This will give you a feel for Adam Rupp's beatboxing talent. I think he's an alien. The other guys have some beatboxing in them also, take a listen to this one Home Free - 9 to 5 + Beatboxing Breakdown, October 27, 2015. If you ever have an opportunity to go see them live definitely take advantage of it. They are amazing. Have a great weekend.
They can sing any genre and make it sound great!! Just to round out the Home Free experience a bit, now you should do these: "How Great Thou Art" (STUNNING 5-part harmonies) 💕🎶 Scenery is gorgeous, filmed in the Austrian Alps. "The Butts Medley/Remix" is just what it sounds like - a handful of songs from a few different genres (including country, rock, & rap/hip hop!) ...all with a common theme - BUTTS!! I kid you not! It shows off their goofball side without losing a bit of musical genius! 🤯😉👍💕🎶😁 You'll love it! A mashup that you just have to see & hear to believe!! LOL Then listen to "Brothers in Arms", a true vocal MASTERPIECE! 5-part harmonies & hauntingly beautiful. Very emotional. 🤯❤
My friend, they knocked this outta the park! But that goes for most of their covers... they're actually upgrades and bring them into this millenium. Great reaction...you must continue this journey down the Home Free Rabbit Hole... it's one you won't regret. Home Fries love Home Free reactions and so do the guys...you won't run into copyright problems with them. You should really check out their Butts Medley for a lighter side and real emotional ones are Brothers in Arms and Helplessly Hoping... beautiful harmonies. Also check out their cover of Percy Sledge's When a Man Loves a Woman and Keith Urban's Blue Ain't Your Color. There are so many great, you can't go wrong. Welcome
Brother I got so much JOY watching YOU ENJOY this rendition! You gave me such a huge smile! Home Free can do anything musically. Their college degrees in music range all way from musical theater THROUGH opera! Rob and Austin, who sang leads in this song, sang opera, Nessun Dorma (spell?), and it was beautiful tp hear and watch. You may want to watch that if for nothing else but curiosity at their ability! I'm not opera fan, mainly because I don't understand the foreign language, but my mom was a music teacher and she hammered it into me that I didn't have to necessarily like a version of music, but I should always respect the talent that goes into it. I sort of look at music reactions that way in that the music reactor may not always like or been exposed to certain genres of music, but your willing to give it a listen and try it out! Thats just so great! Thank you dear sir for your reactions. I enjoy them and you. May God bless.
Awesome reaction. Next up, Home Free "Butts Medley." Trust me it's a bunch of butts songs smashed together, and you will get a kick out of it. New Subscriber for more Home Free.
I always knew rob was awesome.since i started listening to these guys but his solo parts in this especially towards the end he took it to church big time
Check out their medley of “Thinking out loud” and “Let’s Get It On”. That’s one they “better not mess up” 😂😂 don’t worry lol they do an awesome job with it
You mentioned you’re doing Pentatonix too, Home Free did Ring of Fire with PTX’s Avi Kaplan when he was still with PTX. Also, Man of Constant Sorrow, Some Girls Do, One Man Band, My Church, Champagne Taste On a Beer Budget are all great songs for your next reaction! New sub here, looking forward to more reactions.
They always show utmost respect to the original singers. You should watch their videos of their competition on the song off where one oF B2M is a judge. They tell what B2M means to them. They also sing with Kenny Rogers and The Oak Ridge Boys. Please check them out. A request from a new subscriber. God bless you and yours.
I love the fact that the lead they chose was the substitute math teacher you had in 6th grade. Rob is _awesome_! :) (Only echoing others, but yes, Rob went to church for sure!)
Just FYI, Rob Lundquist was trained as an opera singer! Check out Austin Brown and Rob singing Nessun Dorma! Even folks who don't like or understand opera will love this song! It's a tenor aria from Turandot by Puccini in 1921 (in Italian). Then check out Austin singing Bring Him Home (from Les Misérables). It will make you cry!
I'm older than this song and didn't know it other than HF. I love watching reactions from those of you who know it well and say they did a great cover. They also do awesome on "I Swear".
They sang the dang thang! Gospel Rob “preached” and all the boys said “AMEN”! ❤
*One of the happiest moments of my day, is to watch reactors, fall in love with Home Free!!!* 🥰🥰🥰

Usually after hearing the Home Free version if I hear the original it's like meh
You said it. same hear! most of the time they do it better than the originals!@@ritacook6214
Home Free can literally sing anything , it doesn’t matter what the genre might be , they will knock it out of the ballpark
I actually cried when I saw your reaction after hearing you're love/respect for song and seeing the joy in your face. Priceless. Thank you.
G'damn it! When you hear a group that makes you forget that there's no band...sheeeeeit!
And that is why I call him The Reverend Rob Lundquist, 'cuz he took that to CHURCH.
great reaction
GREAT REACTION.
Nailed it!
Oh try there version of CANT STOP THIS FEELING or LOVE TRAIN enjoy

Lol!! "... Apparently, they know what they doing.." 😆 Yes sir, they do. Great reaction. All the best.
one of the best renditions of this song I've ever heard. They honored Boyz II Men by keeping it pretty much like they sang it. Such talent!!
I don't think any one else could cover that song as good they did
Home Free, Pentatonix, and Voice Play are the holy trinity of a capella.
TOTALLY ENJOYED YOUR REACTION😀
Noone harmonizes like these guys and have the best beatboxer 🔥 🔥
These guys do an amazing job of this song! They can do any genre including R&B. Rob's voice has so much feeling & soul in it. Hmm 🤔 I thought it was Tim harmonising and Chance doing the bass line… oh well 🤷🏻♀️ guess I learned something new today 😊
These guys can sing anything!
Best comment ever... "They know what they are doing!"
The question to ask is always: Will the original band/singer be ashamed of this cover? I think Boyz 2 Men is happy with this. And introducing a new generation to their song.
This was the 1st song I heard from Home Free & I knew I had to check out more. Great homage to Boyz II Men. 😊
You're in for the best whenever you react to Home Free. They are fantastic. Thank you!
Another great reaction 🎉😂 you are funny!! Thanks and new sub for more Home Free

@@williemcd lol!! Yes! I appreciate it
My friend you have got a lot catching up to do, I mean a lot. Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole give a listen to their songbook both group and solo projects.
When you are ready for some fun, listen to Home Free's Butts Remix.
Oh, yeah, they know what they're doing. They sing pretty much anything - and sing it well. I recommend The Driver and Helplessly Hoping. Enjoy.
It doesn't matter what these guys do. When they finish a song, they own it. Absolutely my all time favorite group.
I've watched SO MANY reactions to this video, but I've enjoyed none as much as yours!! You put a smile on my face!! 😁😘
Rob got his "Gospel Eob" on and sang with some great soul !!! These guys are truly awesome....I just subbed for more Home Free reactions

Shawn Stockton helped produce this version. He and Tim have been tight since the Sing Off!

What Ande said!!
Man, if you are a group out there you DO NOT want Home Free to cover your song because they reach out and take it from you and claim it as their own.
I notice they are not using material from no-name bands.
This was really good, gave me goosebumps. I'm getting to like these guys more and more. ❤👀
I’ll give it a couple more songs and you’ll be a full fledged Home Fry 😂
Hahahaa they sure do know what they are doing... perfection :) Thanks for making me laugh and smile tonight!
Glad you enjoyed it!
