I think one reason they didn’t do the talking part was they didn’t want to come across as mocking the original, which can easily be taken the wrong way, even if they were to do it perfectly. So they just did their own thing and it works perfectly without it.
Rob and Austin have an opera duet together of "Nessun Dorma" - Rob trained in opera but hadn't sung it in 15 years; Austin's degree is in musical theatre but that also, of course, included some opera. Tim Foust and Austin also have duets of "My Maria" and "What's It To You". Tim does fund raising for veterans charities and Austin often joins him in those. Home Free can sing any genre and are always respectful of the original song and of other artists.
Listen to “When a Man Loves a Woman”, that is all Austin and he does an excellent job🐝🤗❤️

Nicely done. Minor clarification: Chance was the bass for this one and yes, it was fantastic. Tim did that juicy low mini-lead but was otherwise the baritone here.
You should give the Butts Remix/Medley as the next listen. It shows off their fun side and it also shows some more singing ranges. Don't do Mayday until you've listened to several others because that one once you think you've got everyone pegged as where they are on the register, will blow your mind.
yes do at least a dozen different song first learn who sings what such as bass, tenor etc. then listen to Mayday

Chance is actually the one doing the backing bass part while Tim sings with the front men. He performed as bass with his former group and often does the same when Tim takes the lead. These guys are so versatile and you'll see them swap ranges as you go down the rabbit hole. The beat boxer, Adam, also has a lovely tenor.

Adam Chance, or just "Chance", collaborated with a husband and wife team called "The Hound + The Fox" on Johnny Cash song "Hurt". Chance plays an acoustic guitar and sings baritone like Johnny. It's haunting.
Home Free doesn't do covers. They do upgrades.
You're doing yourself a disservice by pausing in the middle of those runs. You're missing out on some real awesomeness there.
These guys are all so talented. They lean towards country but they can do any genre including R&B. Rob sang this with so much soul. They all can take the lead depending on whos voice is best for the song. Tim is one of the best bass singers out there & their beatboxer Adam can simualte any sound. Keep up your journey through Home Free. You will not find a bad song.

IMO, nothing will ever replace the original magic from hearing Boyz 11 Men sing this masterpiece, & I am so happy that Home Free, was able to keep the original integrity of the song, yet still inject a little of their own magic, allowing us, to fall in love with it, all over again 💕 *I don't believe any other group, other than Home Free, could have pulled this off, & the fact that they are an a Capella group, puts them on a completely different level of skill & talent* 💕
Fantastic reaction brother !! This is an iconic song & Home Free tried their best, and did an awesome job. There was a soft country twang, but that is who Home Free...they are what they are....but the definitely showed they have range and can sing just about anything. Please react to their latest video, * "Brothers in Arms" * I think you'll get a really deep appreciation of just how good they really are. It'll blow you away....the harmonies are off the charts, and you as an artist will appreciate the visuals as well.
Excellent reaction. I like all the a Capella groups, but Home Free has become my favorite because their overall sound is so deep and rich. I attribute that to the fact that they have a basso profondo (Tim Foust) and a baritone (Adam Chance).
Also, no two voices sound anything alike, and with eyes closed you will always know who is singing. Their sound is unique from all others. Then there's Adam Rupp (beatboxer).....there are no words for his talent.

Home Free nailed it!! I have ALWAYS loved this song and was wondering if they would change the song, but it was pretty much true to how Boyz II Men performed it, with just a little bit of their accent popping through. Great reaction!

BUTTS MEDLEY - there’s a VERY WIDE, well diverse, song selection…with something for everyone -- and with their tongues firmly planted in their cheeks. It’s an older vide so Adam Chance isn’t in the group yet, it’s Chris Rupp…Adam Rupp’s brother - the two of which founded Home Free back in college. Great reaction. Keep ‘em coming!

I never liked this song when it first came out... maybe I was too old for it then (I got married in 1982), but man, I love this version that Home Free has done! Just had my 41st wedding anniversary with my lovely wife! This is fire! Loved your reaction to the song! I could see how much it meant to you that Home Free got it right.

Thanks for doing Home Free!!! I love this group they are the complete package...great singers and performers! Rob isn't really twangy because he's from Minnesota. They have sung the national anthem at Minnesota Twins baseball games.

nice reaction, I believe most of the bass in this song was done by Adam Chance, I heard Tim doing a lot of the baritone in the harmony. Tim did take the bass solo. Chance is a very accomplished bass as well as a great baritone. They feature his bass in the song, Mayday.

I think the video by Ingrid has the best quality sound for that one.

When they were on the NBC show the Sing Off (they won it in 2013) Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men was a judge and he loved them. I think they wanted to do right by him. Such a good rendition. Rob killed it. Home Free can sing lots of different genres. And Rob’s from Minnesota so no twang. Usually the twang comes from Austin (Georgia) or Tim (Texas). Try Brothers in Arms, Blue Ain’t Your Color, Helplessly Hoping, In the Blood to hear more great harmonies. Good reaction Rob.

I love watching reactions to Home Free videos, especially those who are relatively new to them. I understand reactors have to pause during the playback because of TH-cam reasons, but cannot handle watching pauses this much. I'm sorry. I only made it to the 7 minute mark and had to stop.

They are much more than a vocal country band even though they do a lot of country covers.
I checked out Boyz to men singing this song, and IMHO, Home Free is head and shoulders above Boyz. I'm trying not to be partisan, but comparing the two was really easy - Home Free had the better harmony - by far.

Love Home Free. Love this song, both the original and Home Free's version. Don't hate your reaction but I do hate the way you do it. There are too many pauses, and they were always in the middle of a run or verse. You need to get into contact with some of the successful reactors for advice on how they are able to play the videos with few or no pauses. Home Free won season 4 of The Sing Off with Shawn Stockman of Boyz 2 Men as one of the judges. Check out all their performances from the show with the judges' comments. {I did give you a like just to help your channel grow.}
