They did this song justice. I come from Philly. I listened to Boyz to Men.
These guys do an amazing job of this song! They can do any genre including R&B. Rob's voice has so much feeling & soul in it. Austin adding his higher tones, Chance is holding down the bass in the back, Tim adding some deeper bass notes & Adam with his fabulous vocal percussion. These guys are my favorite a cappella group out there. All their songs are good whether it is serious, heart warming or funny.
Tim takes a much more subdued approach to his vocals for this song and it just works... shows he isn't ego driven and does what role is needed for the song.
Yeah Home Free can bring it! They’re so good. They’re known for their amazing harmonies. Rob (glasses) really carried the song. When HF was on the NBC show the Sing Off (they won in 2013) Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men was a Judge and he loved them. I think they did the song justice. Good reaction Ashley! 😍

I would suggest checking out "Ring of Fire" featuring Avi Kaplan next. The Drum solo that has been mentioned would also be a great reaction. Their cover of "All About The Bass" is also good. Tim Foust (the bass singer) has an amazing range.
When Rob does runs like that, we call that a Gospel Rob moment. They are all just so talented.

Ashley, you get the award for best Stank Face! I loved your appreciation for this talented group of men. As good as these covers are, they also write original music. In fact, tomorrow, Friday, they are dropping new music at noon central time. This is part 2 of a three part video from their new album. It is one of the most heartfelt love songs I have ever heard, written by Austin Brown (high tenor red head). It is called Stargazer Lily. You might want to hear part 1 first called Give Me A Sign also written by Austin.

These men can do any cover and make it their own and make it sound absolutely beautiful.. These five men are so talented... The beatboxer they call him the Freak of Nature because this man can pretty much produce any noise out of his mouth his name is Adam Rupp he was born with a whole drum kit in his voice..If you get a chance listen to his drum solo it's absolutely unbelievable... he's one of the brothers that started this group over 23 years ago his brother Chris quit the group in 2016.. Tim Foust the bass singer, Austin Brown, Adam Chance, Rob Lindquist actually all of them can sing lead.. Every single one of them can beatbox every single one of them take the lead..they are just outstanding.. I have been following them since the beginning.. Chris left the group in 2016 (Home Free won the Sing Off in 2013) and it is Rob Lundquist, not Lindquist (even the Sing Off spelled his name incorrectly😟)

This group has so many songs to pick from that you can't go wrong with any of them. Two songs that I recommend are Mayday and Ring of Fire (featuring Avi Kaplan).

The two main soloists in this one, Rob Lundquist (with the glasses) and Austin Brown (with the jeans jacket), have a duet of an opera aria on Austin's TH-cam channel. Austin also has some AMAZING solo content on there. Tim Foust (the bass) has some incredible content on his solo channel and so does Adam Chance. Adam Rupp is an amazing beatboxer!

I love when I see them blow someone away....yes they are real, I've seen them in concert 3 times and each time it's just better & better. Check out their latest, Ggive Me a Sign, it's am original, written by Austin, and is Cchapter 1 of a Trilogy, so there are 2 more parts to come. It's such a pretty somg////a nice slow love ballad.

A small warning. You shouldn't react to their cover of 'Mayday' by CAM until you've seen several more of their videos. The reason is that there are a couple surprises in that video that you'll miss if you're too new to the group. Some videos I recommend are their covers of, 'Think A Little Less', 'Die A Happy Man', 'Some Girls Do', as well as their original song, 'Why Not.'
Think Nessun Dorma Dorma should also be after mayday considering its surprise too

Not sure how far back, but at least as far as the sixties, there was an expression for the low-pigmentation crowd singing soulfully: Blue-Eyed Soul. Some groups that epitomized this include the Righteous Brothers (You've Lost That Loving Feeling) and the BeeGees (Too Much Heaven, Staying Alive). Since you seem to really like Tim's bass, you would love Hillbilly Bone as it is very bass heavy. It has a little of their humor in it as well. Then one of their funny ones like the Butt's Remix. 😊

Hi Ashley! Welcome to the rabbit hole known as Home Free. You won't find a better group out there. If you want to get their story go to TH-cam and type in History of Home Free. There are 7 half hour videos with them talking about the beginning and all the adventures they went through to get the current group and where they're at right now. They are without a doubt a phenomenal group of men and if you ever have the chance to see them live you won't be disappointed. My son and I went to see them and they're just as good live as they are in the studio. Also, here are a couple that you might want to add to your list, Home Free: Drum Solo [SPM ST15] and Home Free - 9 to 5 + Beatboxing Breakdown, October 27, 2015. This will give you a more in depth look at their talent. I've said it before, these guys could sing the warning label on a bottle of cyanide and make it sound appealing. Lol! Great reactions! I would highly recommend their performances from Season 4 of The Sing-Off to get an idea of what they were like when many of us first met them. They are all on TH-cam. I recommend the videos that include the judges' comments. Shawn Stockman from Boyz II Men was one of the judges that season.
