My favourite Man line up. Being from Swansea I saw them many times, in their various incarnations On a good night they were the best band in the universe. The Neutrons formed later by keyboard maestro Phil Ryan and bassist Will Youatt were also a phenomenal live outfit. Check out Dangerous Decisions, featuring the scorching guitar of Ray "Taff" Williams, from their album Black Hole Star. Their second album Tales From Blue Cocoons is also great.
This is my favourite Man jam fix, never fails to make me feel good and fortunate to have seen them live in the 70’s when my musical tastes were being laid down. Nice to see a young whispering Bob intro too!
@@DavidSmith-wd4mx I was first gig in Glasgow they did, for the life of me i cant remember what the place was called ( but it was in Gorbals), then they headlined at the Civic Hall for Supertramp, last time was at the Apollo
The one and only! Decades of new line ups made them what they became! Sounds u wouldn't believe! My favourite was com on part 3 and as my son said listening to it out of the archives thats funking wild!!
Thank you so much for posting this, haven't seen it for 45 years. This is where I got into Man in the first place. Micky is really on fire here, the wah/tremolo work is fabulous.
Excellent post. Great footage of Man at the top of their game. Brings back memories of recording this from my cheap tranny to my equally cheap philips portable cassette player, whilst motioning to everyone in the house to keep the noise level down for ten minutes.
The keyboardist is Phil Ryan; also now no longer with us. Also gone is Will Youatt on bass/vocals. Only Terry and Tweaky (who replaced Clint) left from this era of the Manband. RIP
Musically extremely good never heard of them a friend always says how good man are so i punched it up he was right probably didn’t get media exposure they deserved like radio play
23rd October 1973, Stevenage Locarno - even had a quick chat with Deke L and Mickey J as the whole band was sat on chairs on the merch stall on the way in to the venue.
Not my favourite line up, I would prefer to see Deke and Martin in the line up....saw them so many times during 71-74....Christmas at the Patti was the highlight of the year...
Brilliant! Micky was one of my big guitar heroes back in the day. Saw them in '76 in Harrogate.
Best Welsh rock band by a mile
What about Budgie?
@@peterboczan2116 Budgie were great... but in my humble opinion, Man were the best band ever, not just Wales, but in the universe.

Brilliant band. Saw them in Glasgow twice in the early 70's. Maximum Darkness is still my " go to " live album.
I was very fortunate to see these 2 gigs in Glasgow as well. Micky one of my favourite guitarists!

@@frankquinn1296 They played at the Citizen's Theatre in the Gorbals. Not a place that usually hosted concerts. They were brilliant that night.
Wonderful Phil Ryan, what can I say,we were so lucky to have the Man band !
MAN!.. Some of my best times watching this band... Nice performance
My all time favourite band. ❤
Mine too, since I first saw them back in 74.
@@franzapp-oldgamerjustforfu5025 My favourite band of all time, too.
Tight or what! Still love this riff, Croydon Greyhound '73...
They had the best rock drummer
Which one?
Still remember when and where I saw it. Introduced me to them. Terry and Will an underrated rhythm section, Tweke a wonderful rhythm guitarist.
Great as you say, I think Tweke Lewis brought so much, very gifted guitarist
Tweke has controlled overdrive and 'speaker reaction' down to a fine art. Perfect Filth.
Nice looking bass, Tim Skelton.
@@bobgreen8142 thank you kindly Bob Green, American Fender Jazz, got it in a sale in 2011.

4:24, RIP smoker... Phil Ryan (21 October 1946 - 30 April 2016) Great Musician!
Beautiful. Legends. Amazing guitars.
Brilliant!
Saw them at the Roundhouse, Chalk Farm in the 70s, and so started my love affair with the SG. Great band.

My first introduction to them as well. My mate's brother had just bought the album and let me borrow it.

Great band. Saw them in Aberdeen at the beginning of 73. Just before Tweke.
What a band,up there with the best.
No marihuana plants were harmed during the making of this video.
Plenty were smoked 🤪🤪
I miss whispering Bob.
What a Band very underestimated True Legends 😁
That crazy Manband. Always toying with the band members. Glad they're ID'ed above.
Great to see Micky and Clint playing together - are they gigging in heaven now - if you believe in that sort of stuff.
The keyboardist is Phil Ryan; also now no longer with us. Also gone is Will Youatt on bass/vocals. Only Terry and Tweaky (who replaced Clint) left from this era of the Manband. RIP
I'd like to hope so. I'll be there always.

Got this album after seeing them at NORCAT King's Lynn 72/73
My first introduction on an 8 track in a caravan in Devon.
