My Lund rides pretty darn good. I think I would trust a riveted hull over a welded one. My Lund front deck is huge. We shall see how it lasts over time.
before I bought my avx 1880, i was looking hard at the Lund 1875b (bass boat seating, no jump seats/quad orientation). great boat. but I ended up wanting something a bit smaller for many reasons... this avx 185s is about a dead on ringer. as for fit/finish/quality: if you've ever been in one, you know. if all you know is internet chatter about cracked hulls, you haven't experienced the company support. some of us old ranger fans happily made the leap over to vexus...because the FAMILY history of standing behind their product. I am glad to have done that and extremely happy with my boat. as for cost? everything costs more ... but to be fair, I added over 1/3 of the boat value in electronics (when I bought back in 2021) and that was not 'getting all my wish list'. boats cost. but the add-ons are a LOT more of it. sure I can buy old/used and then upgrade electronics. seems to me I'd end up at about the same spot price-wise, without a warranty. 😂
@brockmoniz129 From what I experienced, my Lund was built better. Now they are completely different boats, lund was 16.5' Rebel and I moved to AVX1980. Big part of my problem is a terrible dealer. I will say once Vexus found out, they were quick to respond and to make sure my dealer fixed the issues. But it was one thing after another; bad charger, cracked main power line, rust on trailer plus bad lights, water pressure tube not connected, glue coming undone under seadek... It was a rough first few months, since then it's been good
PSA these alumium vexus are trash. Their wielders arnt good enough. There is multiple videos about cracked hulls. Even from a famous TH-camr. Lakeforkguy....
Yeap! I would stay far away from a Vexus Tin boat. There is a reason they keep coming out with a new tin model. Trying to distance themselves from the cracking hulls, Consoles and peeling paint. Not to mention they are way over priced.
Lake fork bought a used 2080 with the weaker .100 hull… they will take it back and build him a brand new boat with the .125 hull and he won’t have any problems
PSA - You are talking out your ass with old news…. Your assessment is outdated and their aluminum is now thicker and better than all aluminum boats out there. Not only that, but unlike other manufacturers, they have went overboard in making things right with their gen1 aluminum.
Great review. Love Vexus boats. I’ll be checking them out and replacing my Lund at some point. Cheers.
That is truly a bad ass, Boat
When are we getting the 2085s video?

Good looking boat. Just curious why they went with the long shift on the engine?
damn nice boat.
My next boat :D just need to hit the lottery first :\
I currently have a Lund Pro V Bass and this might be my next Boat
Keep the pro v...went from lund to vexus this last spring. Quality is lacking
@@bradynelson8437could you explain your experience between the 2 boats? I’m between Lund and the vexus right now.

I have a 2022 Lund 1875 renegade , basically same seating and platform, but in a mod V , I would go for the Vexus.
Great video Aarron ! Is there storage under the rod rack on the port side ? Looked like a door but maybe it was the flooring. 👍
If they made a 20ft fiberglass one of these that you could hang a 300 on I’d be sold
They do! Look up DVX20s very similar seat layout in a fiberglass.

Lol....pretty much a problem with aluminum period....All mfg have crack problems.

@@jlange4202 imagine not buying a LUND if you want an aluminum boat
