Looking forward to the 90% of traditional judo throws that can be effectively done with no gi. Enjoying the series greatly.

Sensei, I see & understand your tai otoshi in this particular video, also I can see a fast spinning drop tai otoshi from the same angle. (0:43). Oss.

Rich amount of no gi judo throws being used in wrestling & mma tournaments. Great to see the educating and practice of it! Helping many lives in sport also self defence.

Thanks once again for doing these no gi judo throw/take down videos and explanations - hit this one (Tai Otoshi) twice in my last two BJJ classes. So smooth and completely caught them by surprise. Wouldn't have this added to my toolbox without you and these videos so much appreciation to you sir!

Easily my current favorite throw. I pulled this off while rolling recently and I’m looking forward to trying it out in the next tourney.

Why would tai otoshi not work great with the collar tie? I thought it’s good when you have head control.

In order to be on the side of your opponent (not in front) the under or overhook, I feel gives you more space to enter with more control. However, it can be done with collar tie also.
