Very nice you might want to put it on the bottom next to the smoke gen and a vent on the top it looked like it was blowing the smoke back out the hole it comes from
I was gonna do this but thought I would try a heat powered woodstove fan. You can lay it on its back in the bottom of your smoker under the waterpan with the base up against the heating element. They are not as powerful as yours but they cut down on hot spots and circulate the smoke all without cords or drilling and can easily be replaced for around 30 bucks.
Excellent video, you've inspired me once again. I'm gonna smoke a chicken today before the "BIG Storm" hits the Denver. I guess they don't think we're panicking enough here right now. LOL.Thanks for sharing.
Very nice indeed. I sure do like you short high content videos. The longer ones are good too but this one sure did tell the story well. Seems like an oven / smoker like you have would be very useful especially these days when it is hard to get out. Are things going well around your neighborhood? Thank you for the effort you put into these videos.
Thank you for all your encouragement Glenn. Yes we are doing fine we don't have a lot of cases here. The hospital where I work is actually having trouble finding enough work for all of us to do since they won't let us do elective surgeries. Hopefully it will all get back to normal soon. Be safe Glenn!
Just in time for Easter. 👍. As always, your enthusiasm and energy are seemingly boundless with such simple solutions to situations. These solution nuggets (like the simple sheet metal bracket) keep getting filed away and come out when I have a problem. I just ask myself...... how would Soat Mon fix this? 😊

I love it! Very clever to have the motor outside and the fan inside! And you made your own fan and shroud. You’re really good! I’m subscribing.👍
Thank you very much!

That sounds like a great idea. I probably would have done that if I had one.
Great job. I’m building a 500 gallon smoker/cooker/convection oven.
Thanks!
This was what I was looking to make jerky. I used to make it with a normal dehydrator, and that had a fan.
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome video. Thanks! Where did you buy the motor and what was its power? 110v?
I had the motor from salvaging other things. It just has to run the fan.

I hope the chicken was good and you came through the storm ok. It looks like Texas got hit pretty hard. Good to hear from you Mike!

Did it cause any problems with your smoke generator?
No they work great together.
Awesome! Would you share the link to the source for the fan?
I bought the fan from Grainger on clearance and the motor had had from salvaging something years ago.
