A great basics video. If you swap out the blue jeans for black and the blue jean jacket for black, we have the exact same wardrobe basics! It’s a testament to your teaching-I’ve learned from the Master. And now I love what’s in my tiny closet and I feel more confident in what I’m wearing. I finally have the courage to express my inner self through what I’m wearing. And nobody really cares!!!😄So liberating...

I'd say make sure the boot has a clean look. Similar to the one shown in this video. As little gap at the ankle as possible. For the dress don't go with anything knee length other wise will make your legs look shorter. Go with a full length. Hope that helps.

Trying to find my own style….I would like to see a video on ‘how to know’ if I’m following my own style versus being influenced by others ( social media, trends etc.). Do you have any ‘tests’ or questions to ask myself to make sure I’m not really just following trends but not realizing it. For example, my style WAS very boho with more is more, colors, patterns ,accessories. NOW, I like very minimal styles, plain, muted colors, no patterns almost at all . It seems like when my style was boho it was ‘in style’ / popular. Now it’s not so much. And now I like simple lines, linen and. very ‘natural’ , minimal style. But it seems like that is what is in style everywhere now. Or is it? Or is it just I’m seeing it everywhere BECAUSE it is my style now? I did also truly adopt a minimalist lifestyle since my boho style. But I’m just feeling confused and concerned that my style is changing based on trends MORE THAN my own true changes. I do want to really find a more timeless, classic style that is very ME. But I’m concerned I’m being more influenced than I realize? Any help would be appreciated.
First you must find out who YOU are by turning inward. Stop the stimulus of social media, advertisements, shopping platforms and fashion videos. They’ve overwhelmed your mind! Try meditation, walking and getting into nature. Try this for one month so you can feel YOURSELF again. Only from there can you know how to express yourself and not be influenced by others. Then you can start selecting colors, fabrics and styles that express YOU and no one else’s ideas. Emily has her own style too. Find you, express you and greet the world as YOU. It’s empowering!
