    I believe you have the nicest tanks on TH-cam. I am seriously considering redoing all my tanks to look more like your set ups. More bromeliads and moss and go with vining plants.

    Hyy Troy! Whats the tiny plant called with the dense Leaves? (I dont mean the Marcgravia sintenisii, it got to be another one).
    The leaves are about 1.2 cm in length each, looks like a plant from the marcgravia genus anyway.

    • @TroyGoldberg
      @TroyGoldberg  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think your referring to just either marcgravia rectiflora, or marcgravia Suriname.

  • @YummiestOrphan

    Three questions:
    1. Did you let the remaining fly cultures open in some of the vivs through the tour?
    2. What do you do personally for the tadpoles (got some new babies myself)
    3. Do you have a favorite variation of frog?

    • @TroyGoldberg
      @TroyGoldberg  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The cultures that are in the tank are usually older cultures not booming, but still producing.... froglets snack on runty flies, larvae and mites...I have a video on tadpoles- check it out, ... I really like the large obligates such as Sylvatica, histrionica and lehmanni

    • @HecticXXViper

  • @landondaniell5404
    @landondaniell5404 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Congrats! How do you keep your marcgravia so healthy in your tanks that you're acclimating moss? From my understanding, marcgravia doesn't like it's leaves to be wet. I have a really hard time keeping most of my plants happy when I'm keeping my tanks wet trying to acclimate moss.

    • @TroyGoldberg
      @TroyGoldberg  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmmmm I don’t know my marcgravia doesn’t do well when it gets dry... it always does well for me when it’s really humid

    • @landondaniell5404
      @landondaniell5404 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TroyGoldberg I know that it likes humid air, but everything I read about them suggests they don't like standing water on their leaves. Same can be said for many other species like begonias for example. I water more for my moss and most everything else starts dropping leaves within a few days. I'm just curious because I ordered a bunch of marcgravia and I want to make sure it takes without letting my moss dry out. I have computer fans installed so drying my plant's leaves isn't a problem. The problem is that the fans dry the moss, so I haven't figured out a happy balance.

    • @TroyGoldberg
      @TroyGoldberg  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Landon Daniell id say just keep it humid and damp not soaking, and you should be fine

    The first minute, i was admiring the frog enclosures, then the 'joke 'about being 'rudely interrupted by my girlfriend going into labour', and ...'so i have a son now, he looks like me so i know hes mine' . I just went, nope. Insulted girlfriend twice in first minute. So rude.

    • @TroyGoldberg
      @TroyGoldberg  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ummmmmm it’s a joke..... have you ever heard of sarcasm????

    • @TroyGoldberg
      @TroyGoldberg  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Obviously... it wasn’t rude and we were expecting our first child! It was also obviously the most important thing that could possibly be going on, what’s also obvious was that the child was mine. My girlfriend is also very sarcastic like me. I’m 34 years old and from a generation where a little sarcasm and a joke here and there is acceptable... I’m guessing your from this new generation Where everything is taken so serious and you get offended by literately any and everything. Anyways thanks for your criticism. Take care
