      @@WesternEquipment I’ve been told this model on the John Deere site is made to cut up to 2 acres. By the looks of it, it wouldn’t struggle to do 3 or 4. What do you think? Plus does this mulch as well as the husqvarna 316tx? It’s ’s a smaller engine but told they mulch really well.

    Greetings from Ohio ... In 2022, after long and careful thoughts about moving from JD steering wheel models I've used all of my adult life, in late August of 2022, I purchased a new Z345R. Coming up on the end of the 2nd mowing season, I am pleased to say that this far into using it, I have absolutely no regrets for having purchased it. It has performed well, and has provided a beautifully finished lawn every single mowing.
    The only feature I think might have been improved upon is the closeness of the control handles to the operator's body. For larger than average operator's, they're a bit closer than I care for when reversing. So far I have done well with it m but plan to figure out a way to move them forward 2-3 inches. Other than this, the 345R is perfect for my needs!

    I purchased the John Deere 345R a month ago and I'm very happy I did it. I can't believe how fast it cuts, I've not pushed to the 7 mph because of some rough terrain. I'm very happy I went with mower and definitely recommend it

    We just purchased the Z345R with mulching kit back in February, 0% interest was a no brainer. Purchased the P10 cart with bumper and hitch in March. we installed the bumper and hitch in about 30 minutes, took about an hour to assemble the cart. Not too shabby for the first time assembling both items. Although we are on a small property this combo is working wonders.

      I notice there are not to many Z345M models talked about on TH-cam. I purchased my Z345M about 2 years ago and so far it's been great. I have a couple of questions for you. Have you had any trouble with the belt tension spring breaking or the spindle bearings wearing out? I replaced my spring at only 35 hours and I've heard the bearing are sealed and even though there are grease zerks the grease never gets to the bearings because they are sealed. They have to modified by removing them and taking out one of the plastic seal on one side of each one then putting them back with the open side facing towards the inside.

      We had 8 days between mowings and a good part of the grass was 6”-8” which slowed down the time quite a bit.

    • @mrbubetube
      @mrbubetube 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I think he should redo that one and cut in the same pattern as he did with the E110, going around in a circle without stopping to turn around. Otherwise, he just made a good case for everyone to choose the E110 tractor over the much more expensive Z345R for mowing an acre. In fact, now that I think about it, I'd REALLY like to see it done again going around in circles. That way we can see if there's a significant difference in time comparing the Ztrak with itself mowing that acre in a circle instead of back and forth.

    • @mrbubetube
      @mrbubetube 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@WesternEquipment ya, but that shouldn't be much of a factor with the Z345R, should it? Don't the mower blades on a Ztrak mower spin at higher rpms than tractor blades?

    Not really a fair comparison if this is the only mower in which you mowed back and forth instead of in a circle. Maybe you should redo the test and maybe the time won't be as skewed.

    • @WesternEquipment
      @WesternEquipment  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree! I think going in circles was a much faster option!

      Have to go counter clockwise so we aren't blowing all of the clippings toward the middle! No worries, I make sure to blow off the driveway when we finish! Gotta keep it clean!

    Now mow an acre with trees and landscaping with both types. It's not always about forward cutting speed.

    You'd mow quicker if you ran circles, at least until you got half of it. plus 42 plus 42 does not equal 84, with 2 inch lap over which is hard to do only equals 80....

      My only issues are the thin rear tires (surprised that you didn’t have any divots) and no fuel gauge (only a low fuel warning lamp). I’d worry about the weld points long term on the deck being a z3 series.
