So glad you are enjoying your Octomore because I enjoy peated Whisky through you guys, as my palate is defective and can't get over peat. Great video as always, Thanks a lot Scott, thanks a lot Bart!!!
Port Charlotte is the go to recommendation for me. Bang for buck & availability is so much better than Octomore. Have done public tastings with several octomores (and black art) and standard PC10 was voted near unanimously as favourite of the night 🤯
I got this bottle last year and I bought 12.2 because it was finished in Sauternes cask. Only once I remember with that finish 4.2 and I believe 10.2 and this one. Great review guys! Great whiskey thank you!.
Great review guys! My wife and I really love this one - so much flavor and complexity packed into a whisky that's only matured for five years! Love the Sauternes cask maturation, it adds a nice sweet element to the mix.
i haven’t met an Octomore I didn’t like. I wonder how much the diageo shenanigans with islay peat are going to cause the prices of this to double/tripple.
I'm kind of over this trend of everything getting more expensive yet younger and younger in the bottles.
Bart, thank you for being honest about not chasing these!
Here my wallet stands, fore it can do no other…or something like that.
Love your vídeos. Octomore .1 are scottish barley. .2 are wine finished. .3 are Islay barley.
Thanks @joaolchbarros!
Thank you guys for rating these Ralfy style with a out of 100 score. Love it

I agree with Bart on the bottle size. 👍🥃
What is your favorite peated whiskey currently? I love peated whiskey especially in the cold weather
Bart’s a peat head
Did you know the shape of the bottle is based on the shape of the peat block when dug out with the special peat shovels!!
Did not! thanks iskillcorn1
The .3 is the Islay barley
.1 mainland barley .3 local barley I think
Greco Time 🤼♂️
Bart, what did you find 'interesting' at the end of the video?
Oh hell I can’t remember now.
@@ScotchTestDummies I would have been surprised if you could.
The 14 series is out now and they're still 750 ml.
Next year's Ardbeg Committee release... PouredMore.
Lol
I think Bart just asked a million dollars question😂
Boom

PPM can be misleading. I heard Octomore has narrow cuts so it isn’t as peated as you would expect by the PPM numbers
interesting!
Pretty clever marketing by bruichladdie to be able to charge what they do for these bottles.
So the 12.2 is not double as good as the 6.1? 😂😏😉
🙌🏻😁
