Love you guys ! Been watching y’all for years now……but I gotta say, Scott’s way of tasting has crossed over into the hilarious. The way he swishes…. like he’s about to gargle some mouth wash 😂 ! Maybe his taste buds are burned out from Barts love of the peat 😉 But seriously….keep up the fun videos gents !
I recently picked up a bottle of GlenDronach 15 Revival for about $115.00 I am completely in love with it and probably need not spend more on another 15 year old.
Macallan 12 Sherry is still a very good buy at about $80-$90. There isn’t a substitute that is 100% Olorosso European oak aging at a lower price. I would easily pay $100 for a 46% version
Jean saw the Macallan title, stopped what she was doing and watched. Then she called me over to watch once she heard the Battle Star Galatica talk. I agree, Starbuck is a hard character to like. But it was a fun show to watch. Expecially Season 1 - 3. Cheers.
It's absolutely not worth the almost $300 Canadian price point before taxes in Vancouver. I have had a bottle of this Maccallan but it's not worth the price. Cheers! Peat all the way!! :-)
Golly gee, you could have come to Ontario Canada and paid $345 for that $160 15 yr Macallan or $900 for that $360 18 yr old Macallan then you would have a legitimate complaint (lol). I have a 15 yr Triple Cask Macallan that I purchased over 5 yrs ago back when it was $160 in Ontario, will try it soon, prices have gone banana's since. P.S- Saw Battlestar Galactica at the theatre back in 1978 when I was in high school, it was a Star Wars ripoff but enjoyable at the time, Also saw the original Star Wars in the theatre summer 77 and it's 3 sequels, not interested in the nineties further sequels, Cheers
@@ScotchTestDummies Yes, apparently it was the pilot for the forthcoming series although I didn't know that at the time nor have I seen the series, I recall the movie doing well at the box office riding on the Star Wars craze.
Given how overpriced/poor value Macallan is, was disappointed in a pour of the 12 year Double Cask a few years ago. The 12 year Sherry Cask was much better but still overpriced.
@steveno7058 I prefer the Glendronach 12 at about $20 to 30 less. And the Bunnahabhain 12 even though not as much sherry. For more sherry then the Bunna 12 CS at about the same price as Macallan. To each their own.
@@djbeacon6895 those are all great. But none of them are 100% European Oloroso Sherry oak. Like I said there isn’t anything else in the market at a cheaper price that has that type of cask aging
Imagine the 15 triple cask. It was unbelievable. A friend gave me a pour, and it’s no longer in production.

Haha! Scott is just TCB taking care of business!

That’s cheap for a 15yo and especially so in Canada. Much higher here and more taxes.

Started rewatching BSG recently (in season 4 now) so I appreciated the bonus material here. 😅
Nice
Do I want to hear the Dummies chat about non-whisk[e]y topics? Yes, please ... always. Cheers!

I'm sure it tastes good, no way I'm buying it ✌️
Macallans are quite pricey here in 🇯🇵.

Peat!

A Non-Grecko bottle. 😆

No way that's worth 160
Agreed and in Canada it’s $300. Overrated.

They had the original Battlestar in movie theaters?

Hello sir it good or not ?
Always good
Try to guess scores. I thought Bart 89 and Scott 90. Was wrong on this one!
36👍
Macallan times are over. Mediocre quality which is totally not worth the crazy price. There's so much better stuff out there.
I agree mostly. The 12 Sherry is still worth the price in the USA
It was always overrated and overpriced. Peated scotch all the way.
@@steveno7058 how much do you pay for it in the US?

12 Sherry isn’t overpriced. Please show me another 100% Olorosso European oak 12 year that is cheaper?

I personally prefer Tamdhu 12 Year Old, I get it from the UK and with shipping it usually costs me about $60
@@mamuka1977 Would like to try the Tamdhu 18 but here in Canada but it's $300 so that's crazy but it's supposed to be very good.
