Best PG available in this draft, and we need one badly
Offenses will target him every player and he will be cooked every single time. Clan is the better defender than Topic
@@CosmicGrind he would easily be best PG defender at our rooster as a rookie. You are talking rubbish
i believe topic will be the most loyal of all the top pg prospects the spurs can draft this year. simply because he is european.
We’d be better off trading this pick for a next year pick.
@@RichOffKs you wanna another 20 w season?
He is great. He has the right mentality. A Winner. He wants to play for Crvena Zvezda because of the harder competition in Euroleague. To play for a club with that tradition is very tough. Unfortunately he was hurt this season for a while.
In my opinion he has the most star potential from all the European players in the draft.
A good passer, high Basketball IQ, great pick'n roll player and his jumper is good. He just needs time. In the midrange it looks good and the mechanics are OK. So he will improve there.
I think he will make more points in the NBA. Just because of the rules. On Fiba Basketball there is no 3 second violation. So every big is always under the Basket. And the court is not that big. So scoring is easier in the NBA. Even Luka said that.
I would grab him. Because of the way he plays and the Mentality he looks like a true Spur.
Luka was great shooter in europe and mvp. Topic is great passer, floor general like Teodosic but younger. Topic can still develop his shooting.
@@romannowy6210
That's what I want to say. Great Comparison.
Yessssssssssss clan🔥🔥🔥keep giving the people what they want. Future Spur right there!! Topic gang over here!
"I don't know if it will translate to the nba"
Man... when will you guys be tired with that narrative everytime an european player come ? 😂😂
European leagues much more stronger then USA college or g league, but still it's like downside for Europeans.
Love how your cat loves to be a part of the video and shows her support for the Spurs in her own way 😂
One of the best passers ive ever seen but how will that translate in the nba when he only gets his points from drives and layups. He shouldn't go top 7 but he can be a decent player in the nba with system and development
u should watch his last game a few days ago he played most of the game off ball and looked really good and he just came off a 3 month injury
Dude is 18 , he has to develop , image Tony Parker’s scouting report at 18 😂. Dude is a 6’7 bob cousy at 18 and will get better …
His best comparison is Josh Giddey
nah Topic got more burst and speed
I will be honest,Josh was probably better than him as a project.
Dude was a 7th pick in a deep year, could easily make top 2 in a small year like this…
@@Leo-nc3yx Josh Giddey was roasted as well for all the same things. basically he had good NBA length and playmaking and everything else was a big concern. He just played in a more competitive league. Topic seems to have better aggressiveness but there's no avoiding that Topic will be a project player and projects that aren't at least defensive aces usually have a very short leash on a Popovich coached team.
You can drill shooting and coach defense. But you can’t teach height! Draft the 6’6 passing savant and playmaker. He is not a finished product, but I believe he will get there and become a great complimentary piece for the Alien!
Thanks Clan. Been waiting for that break down. I trust the spurs if they think they can work with him to work on those flaws maybe it’s worth it. Height is a big plus. But we will see.
I think the Spurs are mostly interested in Risacher.
We will need a very high pick to get him he’s probably going 2nd and don’t see anyway he falls past 3. For everyone bagging on Topic shooting ability remember TP was a terrible shooter when he first entered the league.
difficult to evaluate the shooting ability of young players since 3pt Lines are different from league to league+ in Europe Is difficult to find 40% 3pt shooters in general cuz closeouts are way tougher since the court Is smaller. the best way to evaluate someone shooting capability at a young Age Is his ft% and how It improves through the years but both stats still are a bit fluky and never tell the full story.
@@darckgamer382Tre Jones is the prime example of how FT% never quite really implies the 3P ability.
Jordan Poole is another example,he was leading the FT % for a season, but his best season of 3P% is just about league average.
@@Leo-nc3yx as i said yes its still not really a realiable way to see how It would translate but rather a "can he be good at shooting?". basically meaning that someone with a high ft% as a teenager has a way better chance to improve on 3pt shooting and be a good one in the league. ft% Is the best metric we have to at least guess on potential altough its still not really realiable
Reminds me of a taller Goran Dragić but that doesn't mean we needs him. I say pass on the experiment.
Yeah he's nowhere near a NBA level player
Pick and roll maestro is the best description of Topic
I like Topic, I think he has potential. I like Dillingham as well, but I think I am going height and playmaking talent over shot creation.
Does this potentially make him just a taller slightly slower version of Tre... perhaps but I think he'll do more for Wemby than Tre Jones. I just think a lot of this depends on if the Spurs get Toronto's pick
Guy, if Reed Shepherd is available, I'm confident that the Spurs will pick him.
This draft is going to be very interesting
If the Spurs pass on Dillingham for this guy, it’s going to be a sad day for them.
Meowcus is a great none for your cat brobroe. Keep up the good work.
She’s adventurous not a bad kitty, sight? Sometimes??
How many people here have actually seen his games and not just highlights? What’s his game really like?
Highlights make anyone look good.
great insight clan! To my ears it sounds like we would be better off going all in for Trae Young, with the no defense and no in-between game. I don't like either for the spurs, but it would be better off to get the proven one already in the nba. I know he can be trained and learn defense, but we would be better off investing else where.
Keep up the great content!
Bros always tweaking with his cat 🤣🤣
i think we should draft topic, if we don’t sign trae.
I saw a post someone made on FB about him wanting Spurs sign Killian Hayes when waved and people did not want to because he can’t shoot but the same people want Topic who can’t shoot because he is a great passer and supposedly Killian is too so why waste a draft pick on Topic when spurs can sign Killian for cheap during free agency and see how he would do on the team. What do you think? I think maybe it would be a good video for u to do maybe comparing the two 😀. Just an idea. At least Killian has NBA experience. But I’d silll like Dillingham to be selected at 4 😊
Everyone knows who Clans likes!
I heard spurs aren't interested in him...they said spurs scouts haven't even been seen at his games 😭but I really want him nikola topic=manu 2.0 bring him off the bench and he already had a 49pts game 2 pts more than Luka's Euroleague pro career 🤷♂️ also first game back from injury his 3pt shot look solid 🔥💯
He's definitely not Manu, that's a pipedream
@@Alamoe1 kid has strong left hand and can make crazy passes like manu how is that not manu also 6'6 like manu 🤷♂️🤦♂️you must not be a spurs fan or a kid never really watch manu 🤡and already better than manu when we got manu 😉...manu Europe league pts high was 32 pts compared to 49 🤷♂️math don't lie neither
@@ericperales4505 lmao ok, I'm sure he's going to be the next manu fucking ginobili because he makes "crazy passes" 🤣.
@@ericperales4505 lmfao, oh okay.... Sure, he's going to be manu ginobili... Cause like you said "he makes crazy passes and had a 49 point game before" 🤣
@@Alamoe1🤦♂️🤡must not be a spurs fan lol 🤷♂️no one thought manu was gonna be hall of fame at pick 57 🤦♂️🤷♂️im saying he gonna be better than manu that's why I called him manu 2.0 😉 🤦♂️🤡 he is already better than manu at younger age 😉 than when we drafted manu and also projected top 10 🤷♂️simple math think top 10 pick higher than 57...if we get him trust me pop/manu will develop him to be manu 2.0 😉 stop hating🤡👋bye felicia
I agree. I think he’s way overrated.
Groundbound
If you watch his games and analysis you can tell his basketball iq is from another world, maybe because of his athleticism he wont be able to go downhill as he is doing but trust me, he will find another way to score. And even if he doesn’t, he will 100% make other players score, especially wemby. The assists he has are not only good but they are not telling the whole truth, his teammates kept missing wide open layups and threes all season long.
By what ive seen, he is not as good playing on ball defense but he is pretty decent on off ball defense due to his basketball iq and understanding of the game.
every vid, a minute rant about the cat...LOL
Seems like a draft full of flawed point guards and he’s one of them. Will his game translate? Will he get better at shooting or defense? If you think yes to 2/3 then sure. It’ll really depend on where we draft though. I wouldn’t hate drafting him as he fits a position of need.
I see it. Idk what it is about him but he just looks like he was made to be a spur
Rob Dillingham seems to be more NBA ready than Topic and is a more capable defender at than Topic. My votes for Dillingham personally but they are in the “know” …..
Bad kitty
I think as long as he doesn’t force 3s while his shooting percentage is poor and can spoon feed teammates that can shoot I don’t think it’s a championship killer. I mean TP was never known as a great 3pt shooting 🤷🏻♂️
That was back then, game has evolved now and we are in a 3 pt era
Only 6’2 if you subtract his abnormally long neck and huge head.
Stfu bro he clamps you for sure
Any guy at the La fitness can lockdown or blow by nikola, bro is horrible
After a couple months scouting the draftees...nobody can shoot! So spurs need to get what player they want with the skillset they need and HOPE a jump shot develops
Reed and Dilly can shoot…
Risacher was good too before he started struggling.
The problem with good shooters in this draft is that their ceiling are low,but it’s not like being a poor shooter is any different tho😅
He hasn’t played since January with a knee injury which is a red flag
played a few days ago
Typical Clan on players he's enthralled by: look, they're young. They need time to develop. Give them 5 years.
Spurs Fan: so this 18 year old who's the best point guard prospect this decade just needs time to develop also?
Clan: no, his game wont translate. Don't draft him
I noticed that too😅 "Castle is not a good shooter but he can improve,no big deal".
"Well,I will be concerning of Topic's shooting ability,his shot-mechanic looks bad"🙃
For some reason he thrashes Topic all of the time 🤔
Clan has an issue with any player, especially veterans, who immediately help the Spurs win games, like KJ, DJ, Josh Richardson, Devonte, etc. Even with Wemby, he wants a 10 year approach. Maybe he should switch to a G League Fandom if all he wants is to watch development
So your baby's name is "Mikas"?
I believe it is Mikasa
He can't shoot and is a atrocious defender! I mean he is absolutely awful! Clan you could defend better than Topic and that is no 🧢 he will get smoked in the NBA. We don't need no project that most likely won't work out. We need to trade for a PG
