The way Eddie tells Shaw, "That's impressive," you can see he truly is impressed because not only has he been the World's Strongest Man but he does have a lot of grip strength and just couldn't do it.
It is scientifically proven that the more contact you have with an item the easier it is to control. This applies to guns as well as weights. For guns, there is a proper form to position your grip and fingers. The more contact given the proper the form, the better the control and aim you have. I'm sure the more contact the "easier" applies to this damn beastly dumbbell lol

I know on the Thomas Inch version, if your hands are big enough, they can press on the globes and kind of lock your hand in a little better. Add some friction to combat the rolling effect. I wouldn't say it's a "big" part, but definitely a help.
@@cwilczewski23 I was thinking more on the lines of it's easier to lift a thin grip than a fat grip. Therefore the bigger the hands the easier the lift becomes. Eddie has the strength to lift it but not the shovel like hands that that Brian possess

You know it's impressive when Eddie doesn't even make a joke and gives him props straight away lol
No one can beat BRIAN SHAW in grip strength
Mark Felix has a much stronger grip.
@@yozkopf3000 I would like a duel of grip between them
Mark Felix probably has that one by a safe margin. But if Felix and Odd Haugen teaches us anything, it is that Brian still has 20 years to catch up on grip events. :p
Idk I jerk off with my non dom hand so I bet I can
zenith angel terry Holland’s has the axle dead WR
I love the fact that these guys work out together one day, compete the other. Something for the rest of society to consider.
19:24 for dumbbell
Thanks
Or just watch the whole video because its Brian (and Eddie)
But only ONE person has pulled 500kg
Edit: lol thanks for the likes. Loving all the Love for Eddie The Beast Hall. Hes our boy!!!
This one deserves more likes 😁
Unpopular opinion. Thor is a better deadlifter. Eddie stated in a q&a with brian he couldnt pull over 462 in the gym. Thor has pulled 473. The only reason ed got the 500 was he forced himself into an adrenaline rush. If thor did the same he could definetly do it
@@coleling5032 his ability to do that mentally is part of the challenge. Thor's been at it for yrs, if he could manage 500 he would have
@@williamxu4314 thors also got years in him so hes got time
@@coleling5032 yeah i don't doubt that. He's also much taller so it's harder
21:12 : "I am still worthy"
Eddie never brought up the difference in size of their hands. Would make a huge difference but he didn't make excuses
yea i swear if eddies hands were just a bit bigger he could lift it no problem
Paul S. No it’s just that Brian has trained with grips he says he does it a lot in his spare time
Actually the hand size doesn't matter, the inch and the millenium have the same handle, so, no... Your wrong and eddie picked up an inch.
@@Scootermagoo lol Straight-up Ironmind response right there-I was thinking the same thing
@@Chaghatai Bullsheet is bullsheet and people make excuses for eddie, he doesn't need any excuses. So I like calling the fan children out and make them suffer with the troof.
After watching brian lift that dumbbell i have a feeling he can lift me in the air above his head by my neck with one hand. What an absolute monster.
That dumbell is twice your weight so you know the answer.
@@WhaleShanks11 how do you shes 53kg
I love watching the collaboration videos between you two. You can tell your guys history goes way back
Eddie was that kid in school you didn't dare let in your blind spot.
Nik3 don’t be naive
He said on a podcast that he got expelled because he beat the shit out of a kid who was troubling his friend
Unliftable dumbell: no on can pick me up...
Brian: I'm about to end this whole man's career..
You look like my sister
I feel like strongman one of the only athletes who fully recognize each other and be true friends with their direct competition.
And despite so much strength and testosterone, these are are so cool and shows so much sportmanship when competing is amazing.
This content is so sick, Really glad to see top level athletes pushing each-other to the limit. Great work on the editing too.
Rory Sosna agree!!! Great chemistry!
Eddie is just a *very big* child
5tr0n9 r080t man nothing wrong with that
@@Dominic650s never said there was
He is, bless him. Great guy. 👍
How old is he?

Both of these guys are just so humble to eachother.
3:04 - My face when Shawstrength uploads another video with Brian & Eddie.
You know it's impressive when Eddie Hall doesn't give you shit about it. nice
I love the transition from intense action movie music to "BOOTY BOOTY BOOTY BOOTY ROCKING EVERYWHERE!" at 13:36.
21:08=Superman!!! I'm in awe:) **Peace**
I always wonder how much chalk Brian has eaten in his life. I mean every time he takes his mouthpiece out it's getting covered.
man it sucks eddie retired from wsm, he truly is the beast
Feel bad for the camera man he must be suffocating in that room from all the co2 these guys are expelling from all their heavy breathing lol.
With Eddie in the room, that is the last gas you need to worry about...
And from other orifices
I always thought that Eddie was huge but seeing him stand next to Brian, that man is a beast.
well, Eddie has been dropping weight since he retired. Would not be fair to compare them after that. But yeah anyway Brian was always a bit bigger (and taller)
dude these guys are true athletes they compete with each other because they are both 1 of the best strong men alive this will help them become even stronger and better competitors.
24:00 Eddie was like a proud father.
Eddie hall gotta be one of the only person ive ever seen wearing a cut off hoodie everytime I see him. And nobody ever asks him about it lol
Would you? XD I aint bothering any of these behemoths.
That millennium dumbbell lift was amazing!! You never cease to amaze brother, OUTSTANDING!!!
Anyone who thinks strong men are not fit....
And that last lift is incredible.
The shear grip strength is beyond anything natural.
Brian just lifted a pumped David Haye off the ground with one hand while being not fully able to clasp,
WOW.
If you dont get inspired by these guys, then i dont know what to say
Eddie also did a backflip in one of His videos
I think Eddie sensed Brian's intensity at 20:55. That look. Just immense power, both of them. This lift seems impossible without large enough hands, regardless of brute strength.
The combination of competition and support/encouragement is beautiful.
The fastest I've seen you move is when the buffet is open. IM DEAD. LMAO.
Brian's hands are massive.
I think palm/hand size plays a big part in lifting that dumbbell.
Palm no. Fingers yes.
Well, i could probably lift that 100 kg dumbbell if my hands were large enough to hook grip it. Hands size is soooooo important for this.
Agree
Brian i want to tell you every time I watch your channel or the the world's strongest man, it always lifts my spirits and make inspired in the world we live in now.
Can't believe I missed this gem. Brian gets so much shit at strongest man. He's a good guy, and Eddie brings out his fun side.
This is like trying to pick something up in a nightmare
Lol like trying to run in your dream
WHY IS IT IMPOSSIBLE TO RUN IN YOUR DREAM. LIKE FROM ZOMBIES AND SHIT
@Chiafade now Or trying to load a gun and there's never any ammo that fits.
Chiafade now ye
Lol I have that too. I run slow as hell in my dream, like I have no grip on the floor.
The grip strength it takes, like the lbs of pressure you applied to get it lifted is ridiculous. Insane
When you wrap your head around how strong Eddie Hall is and you watch him fail again and again on that dumbbell it makes you respect it that much more that Brian did it with “ease”.
