chuck norris at the 13:27 mark is not wearing the flag on his right shoulder the wrong way. that is how we wore it in the 80's. this bullshit of reversing the right shoulder flag patch started in the 90's or even as late as the early 2000's because some general wanted make his contrubution to the military by making a change in thought. he wanted the flag to be seen as always moving in forward motion. he changed the rules of flag display from the star field always being to the left eye of the beholder. so no, chuck norris is not wearing the flag patch wrong at that time in our history.

  • @bjlewis5431
    @bjlewis5431 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    The pistol is an H&K P7-M13 9mm.
It's their patented 'squeeze-cocking, grip safety' pistol.
The M-13 is the later double-stack, 13 round varient.
You will have also seen the original P7 used by 'Hans Gruber' in the original Die Hard movie, in its original single-stack mag varient.
The thickness increase of the grip, with the double stack mag is the only obvious way to tell the difference, unless you get very close, and know these pistols very intimately.
They were revolutionary in their day, but their mini-piston operation, meant they got dangerously hot, fairly fast..
Their complexity of their squeeze-grip design, acting as both a combination safety/striker-cocking mechanism in one, made it a very expensive pistol to make, and thus limited its sales, and thus continued production..
Even today they remain expensive as collectors pieces, and unique among firearms designs.
They were made in .40 for a short time, with heavier mass slides, but this was soon discontinued.

I love in the reverent at about the 4:30 mark in which the "sniper" standing above and a bit behind the guy riding the horse takes a shot with a black powder of at least 300 yards from an angle of at least 90° his target view is the guy's shoulder and his back. He takes the shot, rider falls dead, and when Mr.Sniper rolls the previously alive guy over and he's got a perfect heart shot. Must be why dropped over dead and just rolled off of the super calm horse. Who in the hell is the technical advisor on this movie?? A former crayon eater?

Trivia on the scene in First Blood Rambo jumps off the cliff. Stallone actually did that himself and where you see him injured, he actually did hurt himself. Broke a couple ribs if I remember right

They did film an ending to First Blood that mirrors the book. You can find it on the special edition and as a flashback in Rambo (#4).

Stallone legitimately broke the other actors nose when he elbowed him.

Delta Force 12:23, the 2 guys coming down the stairs. The guy in the back is firing his rifle into the back of the first guy as they come down the stairs! lol

The First Blood book is a good read. Watched the movie as a kid and had no idea it was a book till about 8 years ago. I'm not a reader of books but I finished that book in two days.

One thing I thought was funny about Under Siege: In this one (as Carr noted), they kept calling him 'Chief', which for those not aware is short for Chief Petty Officer, which is an E-7. In the sequel though, he suddenly became a 'SEAL Team Captain' (O-6, same pay grade as an Army Colonel).
That's one helluva promotion, isn't it?

Rambo was my childhood. I remember watching that movie and getting my toy guns and pretending to fight in war with my neighborhood buddies. Also, thank you dad for letting me watching movies with you that mom didn't want me to watch. Do Special Forces wear patches or identification into their operations?
