Very sad when invaders enter your country and try to destroy everything. In my country Colombia the Catholic Inquisition was also ruthless and despicable. Till this day very few can acknowledge this fact.

this is so sad and what's more sad is our ancestors struggles aren't even taught to us and what is taught is some fabricated history that benifits a certain kind of political agenda. And the saddest part of all this is, it repeated again in Kashmir where Hindus were told to leave, convert or die.

And that too, it was written to the erstwhile King of Portugal, not the pope. The pope didn't have the authority to begin an inquisition out of Rome. Francis Xavier hardly stayed in India, left India in 1550 never to return and died in Shangchuan, China in 1552. Even king Joao lll of Portugal to whom he wrote letters to died in 1557. The inquisition came 9 years after Xavier's death in 1561 and 4 years after the king's death.
