Watching this guy stand there and just cry without hiding or covering his face is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. It turns my emotions into jelly every fucking time ❤
Of all the tributes to Scott this is the one that seeps straight in to the most tender of places and just makes me feel utter sadness for losing him. A wonderful and beautiful performance to remember an equally wonderful and beautiful man.
The second the opening chords hit, I burst into floods of tears for the entire duration of the song. Hands down the most beautiful and heartbreaking thing I have ever seen live, and all within 5 minutes of arriving at the festival. So, so much love for James and this performance.
Me too Sarah, I found Rabbit via Sad and this kills me inside as beautiful as it is. I never knew Scott, but heard nothing but nice things. P.s Hope you enjoyed The Cure in Glasgow.
Brassneck Weddoes so upsetting my favourite video at the moment is them singing private eyes so much love hope everything works out. It's amazing one person who I've never meet ment so much to me just alot of his songs are so relatable it was nice knowing he did what he did to raise awareness. Rest in peace Scott
I honestly have not been a big fan of the many Frightened Rabbit cover attempts, but this one is done well. Great organ and percussion and James nails the vocals. His tears at the end say it all. Stay Positive and Stay in Love.
An amazing cover by an amazing artist to honour an amazing artist. It cuts so deep and makes me feel nostalgic for when I first listed to both bands. I'm on the edge of a full breakdown at this. RIP Scott and respect to all of The Twilight Sad.
When they played this at Brighton last month I was at a particular point in life where each word of the song was perfectly resonant. Now I know the back story it's even more meaningful. Never heard of them before, now own the back catalogue. Heartfelt thanks for the connection xx
I'm seeing them next weekend in Amsterdam. Fucking hell I can barely stand to watch this - it's such a good cover but so sad. James looks like he's about to start sobbing about 3:40 and then the song kicks back in and I'm a fucking mess. Dear god. I can't imagine what this will do to me next week.
I know the sad is about to relase a new record (which I'm absolutely over the moon about, as they're one of earth's most underrated bands, and a personal favorite) but how amazing would it be to see Frightened Rabbit do a final tour with James filling in for Scott??
I'm thinking Leeds will be so much harder for them because a lot of the people here didn't really know the meaning behind this cover and what was going on. The crowd will react so much more intense to what James will be going through on stage. I hope he'll be okay.
@japan0phile1 Scott Hutchison of Frightened Rabbit had just been found floating in the Forth river by apparent suicide. He wrote this song and was friends with James.

Every time I watch this I cry. We miss you Scott.

This was only a couple weeks after Scott left us. It’s no wonder it’s so raw for them and for the audience.
The raw emotion of him breaking singing just makes this perfect it’s not a song performance it’s a friend saying goodbye which means so
Much more

None of my friends understand what watching this does to me
Andy D we so fucking do 😘
are you in Frabbit recognition on facebook? there are over 2k of us there who get it.
Be glad that you're not alone 😊
*raises hand, *weeps
*nods sadly* yup..
Watched this 20 times or more. So much in the feels. Makes feeling emotional ok. Thanks James and Andy for allowing that to be. Rip Scott.
This is incredible. The sincerity is palpable.
this still absolutely breaks my heart
My heart is breaking watching this. Scott was so loved by so many people.

The long spaces with no vocals are so crushing- like the absence of Scott standing near him while doing this song is just that much more apparent.. :(
sunshaped That's a profound way of looking at it. He left too soon man...
Bless James so raw and emotional but look at that smile at 6.49. Scott would be so proud.

Don’t know how James pulled it off but he (and they) did such a beautiful and respectful job of it. Crying in my cubicle about now.
Same.

This is still so raw. Amazing performance James. You have no idea how much this helped at the time. You did Scott proud
Fuck that was powerful. RIP Scott
Every time I watch this it gives me chills. Love it. RIP Scott
I would do just about anything to hear this song from Scott - always, but especially after a year pandemic

The end just kills me. I will see TTS in SLC in two days. I am sure I will be bawling my eyes out.

Tribute show; James fronting Frightened Rabbit for the night, proceeds go to mental health charities.
danger1980 I would fly anywhere for that.
Needs a world tour.
@@whiteymcduff WOW... thanks for the heads up! I'll be there!
Annual tribute show
I try to watch this often. To see him go from sadness to happiness is something I try to do with my life. It’s just so fuc*ing hard
This breaks my goddamn heart forever...
Damn, seeing this sends me into an ugly cry like nothing else on this earth ever could.
Incredibly raw emotions ! Keep it up James, we love you !
God, this is beautiful...and very intense.

can see it happen eventually. dont think scott would mind one bit
ahh man. this hugged my soul.
And now Grant Hutchison is TS’s drummer… incredible
Brilliant performance , what a fantastic band these are
Love this. ❤
Saw them do this yesterday, took a lot not to cry in public 😭
Lovely tribute., Best performance of the weekend.
This is beautiful.
Thank you for this, James Graham.

I love this, but it breaks my heart at the same time
You can tell that all James wants is his mate back
Gets me every time
First I've seen this and God powerful stuff 💔💔💔
How can anyone give this a thumbs down
What a man.
Gut wrenching, yet I can’t stop watching.
What is James singing at the end?
That summer at home I had become the invisible boy, it's from the album fourteen autumns and fifteen winters
“They’re standing outside and they’re looking in” is what he’s sung with Scott before on a live album. It sounds like that to me.
This hurts so much
Wonderful
anyone know what he sings during the outro?
They're standing outside and looking in. Lyric off TTS album: 14 Autumns and 15 winters
Brilliant 😢
This guy and Andy Hull are the only ones who do it for me. Julien Baker comes close.
God this is good 😪
a man's man. for a' that
Ouchies. 💔
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
❤️
💔
What song does James drop in towards the end “it’s...outside”? This is amazing.
It's lyrics from 'That Summer, at Home I Had Become the Invisible Boy' which is a song from the debut album of the Twilight Sad 👍
@@dah6629 TY!
ok this just obliterated me
