- Here is our "Way To Early" 2024 Notre Dane Fighting Irish football predictions video for every college football game of the 2024 season.
We're going to go game by game and break each matchup down. Along the way we will predict the final outcome of each matchup, and predict Alabamas final record on the season.
The SEC as a whole has gone through massive changes this year. The BIG 10 has added Washington, USC, UCLA and Oregon Ducks. We have the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners coming into the SEC conference. The road to the SEC championship is now more difficult. We have also had Nick Saban, the GOAT himself retire. We welcome in Kalen Deboer as the new Head Coach of the Crimson Tide. Kirby Smart though is still in charge in the SEC conference. The college football playoffs have also expanded to 12 teams now starting this year. Brent Venables looks to compete with other SEC coaches. Dan Lanning is re tooling. LSU Tigers and Brian Kelly look to replace Heisman winner Jayden Daniel’s. Napiers try's to get the Gators back to a bowl game. FSU looks to get back to playoff contention. The Texas A&M Aggies look to rebound under Mike Elko and the departure of Jimbo Fisher. Mario Cristobal looks to try to build on last seasons campaign. Marcus freeman looks to take Notre Dame to the next level.
Let's take a close look at each of these games being of season to end.

Not only do I think notre dame will go undefeated but I think they have a top 4 defense this year and teams are really gonna struggle all year. The offense specifically at QB is more of a mystery. Safe to say running back room is very good and WR upgraded with an experienced TE. Leonard seems to fit into denbrocks offense but that’s to be seen, but the next guys up I know can play too. OLine I think has a high ceiling but more inexperienced this year
I agree on all points you mentioned. Defense will be legit, O line has a good foundation l. RB is good, best WR room they’ve had in a long time. Biggest question is QB, he has to get his passing game better. Thankfully he has an experienced offensive coordinator to help
@@3rd-And-Long If Leonard isn't cutting the mustard, I say ND should start CJ Carr. He has a canon for an arm. In the spring game, he didn't even look like a freshman, he looked like a veteran.
@@AnthonyWrightFilms good point. I have questions about Leonard. If he disappoints at least there’s alternatives
@@3rd-And-Long The QB room at ND is loaded!
@@AnthonyWrightFilms agreed it’s looking that way
Your right on Will. The A&M game isnt gonna be close..we will be running wild in that game. BTW, they got A&M favorite by a point, I cant lock it up lol! It was 3 originally, when its kickoff, ND is gonna be giving 4.
Lol I agree. There’s still some time for all of that to change. I get Vegas right now giving A&M favorite status, since their at home. But we’ll learn more in a few weeks
Agree with the assessment. Hope to see them host a game as the 5th seed and advance
Thanks. It would be nice to see they make the playoffs no matter where they fall
Spot on man. Go Irish 🍀🍀🍀
Thanks! Things look good for the season
Thanks! Things look good for the season
Loaded this year. Coach Freeman is the man, Great recruiter, person and motivator
I agree
Great breakdown. I think this is the year we win the Natty.
That would be awesome for the health of college football. We need these blue blood
Hmmmm. If I’m being objective, and while I think their schedule allows for a lot of wins and the talent may have a slight uptick, I don’t think they’re at the same level as the blue bloods. I do think they make the playoffs and I do think they have a good shot at winning their first playoff game.
@@mglaid1989 I like your analysis. I think the biggest issue here is playmakers. I agree they’re not on the same level of some teams in terms of skill at the skill positions. But they’ll be better this year then in years past there. And they’ve shown they can compete with the Ohio states with their defense. I like your breakdown, spot in
I think we drop one of those tougher games, but win the rest, finish 11-1, and make the playoff.
There’s a good chance Of that you’re right. It’s so hard to run the table.
I agree on these my guy
Thanks man
ND fan since 1966. Great expectations. Time will tell
Thanks, if they play their cards right it should be a great season
You are really short-changing ND's defense by giving these weak teams any points at all (maybe a field goal).
Excellent point, in hindsight you’re right. they will for sure have a few sub 10 point performances
I think our offense could score 50+ a few times, too. We scored 50+ 3 times last year.
@@mbd501 good point, especially those first 3 weeks after the A&M game. Will be some easy games to get warmed up for the season
I see the sams as you.
@@victorgoon8309 great minds think alike lol
We have 2 years of Marcus Freeman and you show a pic with Brian Kelly running out with the team lol
Hey it’s hard to find as many pics as you’d think lol. Gotta settle for what I can get lol
Elko knows Leonard weaknesses under duke offensive coordinator and doesn't know what he'll be like under denbrock . Notre Dame wins by 20+ over Texas a&m
That’s a butt whopping, hey it can happen. Good point that he won’t have seen what Dennrock plans to do with Leonard until game time. No film tape on this new offense yet
If they go 12-0, thats gonna be home field advantage for round one. 😁
Yes sir, they just gotta make it happen
@3rd-And-Long I actually have the same prediction. Also, thank you. Finally someone who actually notices the Aggies still have issues on offense.
@@DCSk8er529 you’re spot on!
Actually, they won't get a bye. They don't qualify. The best they can do is be the 5th seed. The top 4 are conference champions. ND doesn't play for a conference championship. They agreed to do this, to stay independent.
@@gigemaggies50 that is correct, it’s a rough spot to be in but they wanted it. There’s also benefits to not playing a conference champ so maybe it will always work in their favor
i think ND will be favored in every game (besides the current TAMU spread), but they should be the better team on paper every week. But it's college football and these are teenagers and 20's years olds. 10-2 at the worst. 11-1 is my prediction. 2 playoff wins
I agree on that. They should be able to out talent everyone except for Texas A&M. If they get through that hump it could be a great year
I’m worried about the O Line. Great teams need to have a good O Line at the very least. Right now I don’t think we have a good O Line. I hope I’m wrong.
They are replacing a few pieces off to NFL. And you know ND will want to establish that physical run game. If that’s lacking Leonard better have developed more as a passer
I'm not because they always replace the guys they lose to the NFL draft. They lost banks eichenberg and Robert hainsey and replaced them with fisher and alt
@@AntoineRideaux-wd1zk they need to get that uniformity down week one. It can happen. We just want to see it to be sure
We think we can go 11-1 every Year but we don't quite get there,Most years .
Lol good point, 11-1 is a great year and will for sure get you in the playoffs this year. So I’d take that
Great predictions
Thanks!
I got em losing to TAMU game one, possibly losing to FSU and then losing on the road to USC. 9-3/10-2.
Riley Leonard is nowhere near the stratosphere of Jayden Daniels. ND has receivers now, but nowhere near the ones LSU had.
If you don't think USC wants to play spoiler to ruin ND's playoff chances at home to finish the season, you aren't thinking straight. USC's defense will improve, but it will definitely be the best it can be late in the season.
I don't see Elko losing to his former QB with the kind of talent TAMU has on offense and defense.
Some great points you make. It may set up exactly that way too
Your Way off IMHO, our defense is gonna be Top 3 in the Nation. We are stacked this year !!!
I see a top 10, even top 3 defense. Very possible and can agree on that. But I praised the defense many times, I have them going undefeated this year, really it can’t get any better then undefeated. People would say I’m going to far by saying they won’t lose a single game. How am I off if I pick them to run the table lol
I think Because Are offence, with Denbrock ,offence Should be better,And then teams will adjust throw more At us,and we let down A little ,with leads, teams will score little more on us,So I don't See Statistically top 5 ,I mean V. Good de,On Paper, yes,But We need Are best out there every game like Benjamin,As well as key others, like Watts.,To get there.
@@RonaldNolter-ih4ry excellent point that if you score more it will inevitably lead to the defense scoring more. Very true
Totally off topic but do you think VT blows out/ cover -12.5 against vand? Srry doing an early parlay 😭
That’s a tough one this far out. I’d say they’d cover, but it’s hard so far out. It’s first game of season too so some teams are sloppy. And Vtech did better as season progressed last year. I don’t envy that choice lol
@@3rd-And-Long yeah no joke just wondering why the line is only at 12.5 when vandy is really bad and lost some pieces and VT is clearly much better but I guess because they’re away? Idk just fishy to me lol thank you though
@@user-ln8ly4nl5q for sure. Yeah and first game jitters probably. Everyone is rusty game one
Texas A&M will be tough Game, not A lot points,Watch,Elko knows N.Dame And A&M Will be solid on defense.
I agree, more of a slow hard fought line of scrimmage game
Only game i can see a loss is at A&M. Not because i think they are better than ND, but atmosphere and heat along with new pieces could definitely play a huge roll.
I think you summed that up pretty well. Lots of fresh moving pieces on the road in hostile environment. That will be a tough one
There's one problem. The last 6 times ND started 0-1, the seasonw went straight to shit. They can't afford a week one loss. They can't recover from them for some bullshit reason.
Heat could be a issue but it’s at night so no sun
@@DCSk8er529 I agree, just because they can afford the loss doesn’t mean they should. they need to play as if their life depends on it. Starting the season off right with a win on the road, vs a SEC team would give them huge momentum
@@westword6558 unless some bad humidity steps in. Still home field is huge for the Aggies
11-1 seems most likely, 10-2 next most likely, then 12-0, then 9-3. All assumes they stay healthy (they just lost their backup RB for the season with an ACL tear).
I see that, that sucks. I like your record rankings though, good stuff
We have to get the Oline clicking and we have a chance
Exactly, gotta get the O line on point to support the run game
Notre Dame has beaten dj u twice and the LAST time dj was benched
Excellent point
If we lose that first game we will be 9-3
That’s an unfortunate possibility if they lose, good call
Come on were irish 4 life
@@user-kk8xo5hj9m will be a good season
ND is a 1.5 point underdog @ A&M. I’m not sure why given the uncertainty with A&M
New coach, new coordinators. People want to see it to believe it. The talent is there, no question. But Jimbo had top 5 rosters every year and did nothing. Elko may be able to materialize it, we just want to see it first. I’d say that’s the reason, at least from my view.
@@3rd-And-Long the potential is there for A&M and it’s at their place, but ND is a much more stable program at the moment. From an oddsmaker perspective, I think this game should lean in ND’s favor, but it obviously doesn’t matter. The game isn’t won on Vegas odds.
@@dallasmorrow21 you summed that up perfect. I think it should lean in NDA favor also, but A&M is a good squad. That game is so 50/50 ya know
@@3rd-And-Long Agreed. People are ragging on College GameDay for going to this game, but it's gonna be the best of the weekend. The storylines alone are great (Mike Elko vs his former team and former QB, both QBs coming off of season ending injuries, ND beating Duke on a miraculous final drive in their last matchup against Elko)
@@dallasmorrow21 you’re right. it’s a great environment, and let’s be honest these are 2 big brands. Especially ND, it’s sells.
We're gonna lose that A&M game. We don't win big road games unless it's a team like Duke.
Excellent point. History will be against ND here. But all things must end eventually. It’s practically 50/50 I agree
I'm going to give Mike Denbrock some credit in this one and hope that he can out-coach Mike Elko.
@@Necile2 That would be the preferable outcome of course.
@3rd-And-Long That being said, I'm wholeheartedly rooting for them. An 11-1 record is okay too this time around.
@@Necile2 yeah how much can he adapt the play calling to Leonard’s strength
10-2 would be very disappointing. They wouldn’t deserve the playoffs at 10-2.
Without a conference championship I agree. Gotta at least go 11-1 to get into the final 4.
Notre dame well be in the playoffs and play maybe michigan in the first round jamie
I like that and very possible. That would be a great matchup for sure. I think ND gets in as well
Usc Texas A&M games to watch for Small upset.
I like that analysis
Lmaoo not at all 😂😂😂
@@juju-fr6gt hey crazier things have happened lol. USC and A&M are decent teams. NF just has to make sure not to take them for granted
NotreDames Offence Good, But Wont be On The Lsu Level.
LSU level last year, no they won’t. But they may be similar this season. I say that thinking LSU’s offense won’t be as good as last year
Notre Dame offense under denbrock will score 45 points a game
That would be a massive improvement over any previous years
They had some better players on offense LSU did, Like Wide Receiver.
@@RonaldNolter-ih4ry yeah not as loaded as the LSU offense was, but ND offense might might be better then last years
There Aint a better q.Back with riley At the helm.
Supporting your team, I like it
I think Notre Dame goes 12-0
Agreed. Schedule sets up for it if they get past week 1
Aggies are favored at the moment
They really should be. Great roster, at home, game one. Anything can happen that game. I wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if Aggies won
SEC favoritism at it's finest
@@DCSk8er529 of course it is as always. There won’t be any favoritism once the game starts. The best team will win
@3rd-And-Long They average 4 wins at best in SEC. Until they become a legit threat, I will view them as a Big12 team
@3rd-And-Long I'm glad I don't play. I would call out the media every time we win as underdogs, and tell them they suck and don't bother riding our coattails.🤣😂
National champ 2024 final
If they get in the playoffs who knows what can happen
I hope pray irish since i whas born 1974 thanh god for lou holtz
@@user-kk8xo5hj9m good ole Lou
lou holtz is that you?!
I’m going to say 11-1 with a loss to the Aggies to start the year
I can see that happening. Especially since it’s game one with a new qb
That's the game I'm the most concerned about. Win that one and I think they run the table.
@@Necile2 yep, gotta start things on a high note
Noooooo, every time Notre Dame starts 0-1, their season goes straight to shit. 2001, 2004, 2007, 2011, 2016, and 2022 are perfect examples. Notre Dame will beat Texas A&M. The Aggies don't have the offense to win. They're louder in the stands than they are on the field.
@@3rd-And-LongThe last 6 time Notre Dame started 0-1, the season was a disaster. 2001, 2004, 2007, 2011, 2016, and 2022 are the perfect examples. 0-1 starts are a no-no. Notre Dame us terrible at recovering from 0-1 starts.
Loss to A and m and to Louisville. Finish 10-2 at best or 9-3 at worse. Miss playoffs. Need a better quarter back
That’s very possible. It wouldn’t surprise me if that happened. You’re right they might miss the playoffs if it does
10-2 will be in playoff,Slight chance At 9-3.
@@RonaldNolter-ih4ry 9-3 if it’s a slaughter during regular season, you might be right. Not having a conference championship could hurt them If their 9-3
@GOTforlife no way we lose to Louisville at home!!! That is a revenge game and we dominate them this year!!!
@@dannygiles2442 I don’t think LU has the same year they had last season either. They’ll be good, but won’t beat ND
Notre dame loses to fsu, usc, and one other guaranteed. Dont @ me with bias. Be real. Notre dame isnt competitive with real top 10 teams
@@Darkmage1000 I can hear you on that. so you’re thinking 9-3?
