The originaly Stryker was the very first 'real' RC plane I ever flew back in 2005 or so, that poor thing took a serious beating and just kept going (with copious amounts of epoxy...ok, it was mostly epoxy by the time I was done with it). I prefer the look of the older version (up to the F-27C), but they all fly fantastically. Theyre known for their speed, but their slow speed ability is great, low altitude high alpha inverted passes look awesome. Think I'll go fly mine now, great video!

I have had my F27 for 12 months now and I love it. It was a bit scary at first but now I want to go faster :) Anyone have any upgrade tips. I recommend a pusher prop and change direction of the motor as the prop and prop nut comes off on 4s which can send foam in all directions!

Just crashed my balsa Piper Cub... badly. Thanks You Flight Test for keeping me motivated and au courant on how to's and updates while making it fun and enjoyable to watch. Like Josh Bixler says, "If you fly, you crash". One day I will fly like him. 😁.
One flys with his fingers, the other flys with his thumbs....I've been in rc since the beginning and have seen ppl fly so many different ways, but to see you guys side by side each inputting in his own style, cool. I'm a thumb guy myself, and with top speed edf jets, not as precise as fingers, but more exciting!
Remember the footage of Randy Johnson destroying that bird over home plate? Yeah... That you both managed to hit from opposite directions within a second of each other...legendary.

Well you actually have a point! and rightfully so... but unless you have loads of free time.. for some people is ok to trow those 100... to just enjoy. because one have to get up at 3;00 am to get to work. to make that big buck but have not time to invest making that 10 dollar foam plane.. hope you agree, that not every one is in the same position..
I'll have to let you guys know after this weekend - Stefan just sent the plane to me, and I'll be taking it out (provided we don't have any more forecasted thunderstorms!) It's bigger and the motor is heavier than those on a Versa Wing, so this thing feels beefy...I look forward to putting it in the air! :)
That double crash was awesome. A question: Are those types of planes difficult to tell which way is up? A "normal" airplane's orientation is usually easy to discern. Is that an issue with delta-wing designs?
This video helps demonstrate one reason why the ORIGINAL Parkzone Stryker was such a huge hit -- because the airframe part was nearly the whole airplane, and it cost UNDER TWENTY BUCKS! So no big deal if you smash it up like in this video. People bought those "Stryker C" airframes like salted peanuts! (I still have one or two left in my attic) Cut some fins and elevons out of Depron or balsa, throw in the guts of the old plane (or any retired plane), and you're good to go for under 20 bucks! But now with these newer generation Strykers, it's $49.99 for the inner-fuse part PLUS $29.99 for the wings PLUS $7.99 for the nose, just to get the equivalent of the old $19.99 Stryker C" airframe part! That's "progress" for you I guess (or "evolution" perhaps). :(

How does the speed envelope compares to the versa wing? That is one thing I live on that thing... I’ve got a sp f3 board on the way and I’m debating on what to toss it in... the versa already doesn’t kind some impressive wind and I think with the fc it could be something fun to let my kids buddy box with
There's a nose cone replacement for it with FPV; I looked it up after getting the plane yesterday, but it's $45, and it's only a 25 mw transmitter. For how far and how fast this plane can move, I can see that dropping out really quickly.
I've heard reports of the nose attachment hardware and vertical fin attachment hardware being weak. High speed runs causing the vertical fin to break off making it hard to control amd even crash. has anyone had this issue with their Stryker Evo? I'd love to add it to my fleet. I have a Q and it's been solid for countless flites

I agree, even on a 3S battery it’s amazing! Too snappy and too fast to be anywhere near a trainer though.

The easiest way to land a F27 is to stall the wing, then pull back on the elevator with full rates. She falls flat on her belly. Doesn’t hurt a thing
