    Please visit www.horizonhob... for more information on the E-flite F-27 Evolution BNF Basic & PNP.
    The original F-27 models, like the Stryker, introduced thousands of RC pilots to the fun of flying a durable and high-performance aircraft that harnessed the advantages of a flying wing design, evolutionary materials, advanced electronics and modern aerodynamics. The E-flite® F-27 Evolution™ airplane marks the times by combining a proven design with modern updates, including a significant boost in power, removable wings and a sleek FPV option that have it destined to be a new favorite well into the future and beyond.
    The E-flite® F-27 Evolution™ lets you use 3S or 4S LiPo batteries to rip through the skies like a jet at ballistic speeds of 105mph (up to 85mph on 3S), or to slow down and cruise with the low-speed predictability of a sport model, all in the same flight. The wide performance envelope also allows you enjoy everything from blinding roll rates and tight loops to using full up elevator for slow, high-alpha flying and to practically ‘elevator’ to the ground. Utilizing a highly refined airfoil, the F-27 Evolution also features oversized elevons driven by metal-geared servos and a lightweight yet durable EPO airframe that’s reinforced to provide both strength and agility. Plus, its updated three-piece design allows you to quickly break it down for transport and storage without the need for tools or fasteners. You can even put yourself in the pilot seat by replacing the stock twist-lock nose with an optional nose that contains an FPV camera and video transmitter (VTX) while blending perfectly with the sleek outline. So whether this is your first flying wing experience or the F-27 reunion you’ve been waiting for, the Evolution is sure to thrill like no other can, and at a value that simply can’t be beat.

    I just flew mine today. It's one of my pride and joys. It can fly super fast and super slow. I'm glad mine is in perfect condition still. I made sure to buy every spare part available for it. I can build 4 of them with all the spare parts I have. It's one foamy I want to keep in my hanger forever.

    Thank you for bringing it back. It was one of my favorite airplanes I have had. You could fly in any type of wind and worry about crashing.

    I bought the Apprentice, and learned to fly. A couple months later bought the Extra 300, a month later the Yak-54, and last but not least the Stryker F-27Q a month later. After it was discontinued I was pretty much done flying... Because it's always windy here in Idaho Falls!!! So not having the Stryker as a way of taking on the wind, that was it, I'm done flying... And after about the 6th flight, I was wanting more speed!!! I am very happy with this release!!!!! ;) Seriously this is a reason to buy another RX and start flying again!!!!!!!!

    I had all but lost hope in ever seeing this F-27, making a return to the market!!! This is very exciting to see!!!!!

    no Rudder? that's disappointing. The Rudders on the F-27Q were awesome for flat spins.

      I totally agree! Flap spins were my favorite part of the F-27Q!

    3:38 Wow... a 105 mph wing that can land that slow... impressive. It's a very fast... park flyer. And like many delta type wings may have better FPV camera stability that a higher aspect ratio flying wing. Hummm ... *So now it's summer where the wind gusts up past 30mph and I'm setting up the throws... simple, except manuals for the F27 Evolution shows differential elevator (22mm up-17mm down) for high rates but not for the low rates shown @ 15mm down and 15mm up*. If high rates benefit from the elevator differential throw added then low rates should benefit too! Jezzz... looked it up and it's still shown like that in latest manuals with C/G correction @ 140mm so not a typo I'm assuming. But a 5mm differential relative to a 17mm throw going to 22mm is going to make a huge difference in handling so really surprised no one has commented on this "unusual" setup specification.
    Adding what amounts to aileron differential using the elevator which is the load axis causing drag in a tight turn makes sense I guess but I'm not the one doing the math and the elevon mixing programming... and I can't find one conversation on the Hi rate with differential vs the Low Duel Rate without it (normal) as mentioned in the manual. Makes me wonder why the low rate value was left out and certainly requires some research as the TX is required to be setup in basic ACRO mode so the SAFE/AS3X RX can do all the mixing. So seems to be an RX programming feature to activate through another channel and assign to the high rate switch. But no mention of that in the manual, One thing is sure a 5mm asymmetry in differential throw will make a huge difference especially at 100+ mph so the question brought up in the manual under duel rate setup deserves an answer.

    Okay, running on 3S will this pull the same speed as the Stryker F-27Q around 80MPH ?

    • @BUILTLIGHTWOUNDTIGHT
      @BUILTLIGHTWOUNDTIGHT 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Up to 85MPH on 3S, just read the description, sorry for the idot question, my bad!!!

    Can anyone share some insight on activating the SAFE technology on a DX6? I cannot seem to get it to activate and engage

    • @DavidReynolds-kr6yh
      @DavidReynolds-kr6yh 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pete Lacher , it’s on the plane, set by one of the switches. You can go from safe, where it won’t roll but will fly smoothly and is limited in elevator as well. Second mode keeps it still restricted from full movements of control surfaces keeping it more stable than normal. And then there’s full movement of controls for fast turns, rolls and loops etc.

    Hi. Mine Came In Today!!!

  • @johnsmith-on4bj
    @johnsmith-on4bj 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Can you help? I have not flown mine yet due to the weather in the UK. The instructions say to select wing type Wing Ail 1 for my DX18 but there is no such setting on my TX. instead i selected Wing Ail 1 + 1 Flap. I can't see any corrective elevon deflection in normal AS3X flight mode mode, but it is clearly working in SAFE mode. I guess that as it's a fast model the AS3X has to be turned down fairly low. Also, both elevons raise up about three degrees when i select SAFE mode. Is this normal?

      I haven't Put it up, but if you are really interested, and want to make one and write an assembly manual I will do it.
      You will need a .3mm Nozzle and PETG 8 x 11 heat bed, and S3D
