Its a belting video TE. You do very well to piece it together, esp 2nd half into Cheshire. Have to laugh when theyre in the pub for dinner, fred eating what looks like gruel when everyone else eating summat that looks like food 😂😂
Time capsule of the old Bolton of my childhood, in fact, 78 was the year i was born.
Every credit to you and the camera mqn.
I actually run through the cemetery regularly, its part of a trail now that takes in much of Boltons industrial heritage, including Hall i'th wood museum, well worth a visit if youre ever over our way again.

I really enjoyed this, I remember watching the original programmes and was shocked when he and Julie split up (she said he spent so much time in the shed and left her and the kids to get on without him, it was like he was having an affair, but the other woman was a steam engine!) - it was a different time then, obviously I see it differently now I’m so much older :-)

Why not retrace the journey from his house to Chelford now you know some of the locations featured in the programme ? I think I've worked it out using Google maps.
