From a time when the TV was chock full of Western Shows and every boy had to have guns and holsters and chaps and felt cowboy hats and we all practiced quick draws and twirls and life was quite a bit more enjoyable, IMHO.
And, there was simply nothing more enticing to a little kid than the sound and smell of real GUN POWDER exploding in his hands. (I will not tell you publicly all the things we did to enhance this experience, but let your imagination run wild.)
