I can never open a clip in which this couple appear, and still feel "Down" when it ends. They are so happy and full of joy. On top of which they have great rapport with each other. Please take care in these troubled times.
We got English friends (here in Australia) who lived 8 years in France. He's an electrician and did alot of domestic electrical repairs. Well he would say to the customer, I can be at your place 9.00am Wednesday and he would turn up there exactly on time. The French would almost faint with shock to see him at the door. Anyway he'd ask, what's wrong, we agreed at this time? They no no all good, usually French electricians never even turn up on the agreed day and and sometimes not even that week. Anyway the whole town got word that there was an English electrician and he got all the business because he was punctual and very good at his work without ripping people off.
Wouldn’t say it looks like shit ! But must confess a good few areas generally from Coventry and above have uncared for areas. A lot of Brit’s are moaning fuckers who point out negatives rather than many positives. But again many areas around Coventry and above are thriving well ! Contradicting myself slightly it’s hard to pin point . A problem is government and councils spend tax money on the wrong areas of society, rather than the needy areas etc etc .
I have exactly the same response as Mickey has, regarding the French, and it is NOT because I am a prejudiced Anglophile, it is because most (Not all) of the French workers, do as little work as possible, for the maximum amount of money. I was a Production Director for a large manufacturing company, and we tried to get a factory in France to take on a contract, but when I went over to France to try a short run of some of our products I worked there for six months and told the directors at our next meeting that the whole programme that we had wanted to put into France, would result in a huge loss to our company. That was the end of the trial Production run.
Knowing how to enjoy life is not synonymous with laziness. Work is normally just a part of a person's life and not the holy grail of a life. Enjoying your family, your friends, having a good time, traveling, taking the time to educate yourself, to learn, in short, enjoying the joys of life, that's the very essence of life. I am 68 years old and have cancer, I have worked very hard all my life, I put work as a priority before everything else, and I have succeeded in my professional life, but in the end for what results? All this time working like a convict has brought me what in terms of enjoyment of life, the real one? Anyway, that was just a digression, and sorry for my broken English.
Love you both. Please take care as times appear to become difficult for the Lebanese people. I am atheist. I just want peace and love for all peoples of the world. It is kind and intelligent people like you who give me hope that so much violence can one day be overcome. Sorry to have to discuss such a topic here. I wish the very best for you, your families, friends and all the good people of Lebanon.
Thank you so much for writing this! Your comment means a lot to us ❤️ We also just want peace and unity but sadly this is unreachable in our part of the world because of politics, religion and interests 🙁
I went on Holiday, 3 years ago now, I went to a place for food, it's opening times was 12-7pm I swear on my life, there was a sign, said sorry closed, Chef just can't be fucked to come in today.
If it makes any sense we love the French culture in Britain, we just won't admit it. I've been to France and found people were just fine; once you have adjusted to the local vibe. In my experience polite but a little aloof. I was inter-railing and there was a definite difference between north and south. Paris was like London bearing no resemblance to the rest of the country. Finally if national stereotypes where true all the time countries would be a mess. By the way your English is excellent and I wish you well. 👍viv la France
I know this might sound stupid ( I know don't much about Lebanese geography), but I really really hope you will be safe in the coming days. 🙈 The world feels so unsafe these days, and it's not fair for good people like yourselves.
Its a part of being English, we're either obsessed with France or say the exact things Mickey said. My friend moved there when I was a teen. I'm one of the latter 😂
If the French being lazy upsets the English then thats magic🤣🤣 We have "The Auld Alliance" between Scotland and France (check it out) and now thankfully its just having a laugh, Mickey is so funny, more please, and stay safe🦄🦄🦄🦄
I don’t know where these people are going to france , I m french and every shopping centre are open 9am to 9pm Monday to Sunday Only restaurants are closing between services do we eat at 3 pm ? no because we are working
I went to work with bunch of Irish mates in the 90,s to work in Eurodisney as qualified painters and decorators. We were in a hotel in Tigery not far from Eurodisney. Our first night, we went into Tigery at 7pm. It was closed. Everything. Tigery is a large village with bars and cafes, but everything was closed. WTF. They had the hotel yesterday, but this was inconvenient in distance to tigery. Tigery residents had to walk, drive, after 7pm to get a drink. The food in the hotel was small portions and not great. The attitude of the staff was dismissive. And after 9 pm all you could get was expensive drinks. Tigery in my view was a dump. We were Irish guys and our collective opinion of walking round a village in France was , it looked like a film set for a horror movie. We went to what I believe were called Hypermarkets on our way to and from work. Absolutely nothing special. Plus we were looked upon with disdain, if we were not fluent in French. Fuck sake we are Irish, none of us speak Gaelic, and we probably don't speak proper English either. The moment our work in France was done, trying to help their country, it was a great sight of relief. Back home to the UK or south of Ireland. When in France I went to Paris the most overrated city in the world. Expensive, and dismissive, no humour. How many French comedians can you think of. ?? History, yes plenty, soul none. This was the 90,'s not that long ago, as the crow flies. Never will I return
@@lyndoncmp5751 I use English in this Anglophone forum because I am multilingual (Basque, Spanish, French and English) something that the vast majority of Anglophones are not. So I am the one who puts myself at your monolingual level.
The French have been knocking the English for years, the pathetic morons. We don't need to 'feel good about ourselves' because out actions do that for us. Like defending France from the Nazis.... we should have left them to their fate. The French wouldn't have done likewise if the tables were turned. That's the difference so nice try. 🏴
Definitely the French of Paris etc,i was kicked out of a café in Paris because i was getting a wash in the bathroom as i had been hitch hiking around France in the 80s,anyway in the smaller towns and villages i found the French still as arrogant as in Paris but with a smile. Lol

Ahhhh, my favourite couple are back with more Mickey, highlight of my day. 😁😁
I’m in France now and it being Monday the local super
Market was closed from 12- 7pm , this is because they were open Saturday morning .
To be fair our shops always shut Wednesday afternoons because of being open Saturday morning
In France, we say "We work to live but we don't live to work" .. This is why we fight with our governement in history for more Holliday 😂😂🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣
Glad you got a sense of humour😂 ✊🏻

I guess from middle England you’ll notice more negative areas the further north one goes !
I saw an interview with him..he actually loved that trip.He is, of course, a comedian so he finds humour.

Stay safe you two.
Apparently him and his mate did VERY, VERY, VERY little cycling, they spent most of the time on the train too drunk to ride a bike.
I watched the TV series. They did do an awful lot of wine tasting as I remember 😋
Who cares? It was very funny and the Roast Chicken looked perfect. 🐔
And Noel definitely went up Ventoux.
@@samuelgarrod8327 obviously nobody cares but I didn't watch the show so don't know what you are intimating

Great reaction you two👍seeing you to ctack at the 'only thing they can catch'🤣🤣good job✌️
One of the greatest comedy lines, "I found out why the French ear snails... it's the only thing they can catch!". Brilliant! 😂😂
All of europa think this of france 😁😁
You can include Spain in on this. Living in America with Spanish sensibilities is an adjustment. We need more 3.5 hour lunch breaks here in the US.

This obsession is quite strange from a French perspective. Because we don't often think of you lol
