I love our New Age garage 9 cabinet set, what I don't love is how the overhead cabinet gas struts didn't last and it is impossible to find struts that fit.

It's funny, I just installed a 102" set and when you opened your tool drawers it looked just like what is in mine.

Since I can't find it anywhere on newage website thought I would ask here. I have to do an install on a pro series full wall setup. As my wall has a two inch kicker at the bottom I need to put in larger spacer boards. Wanting to get a jump on the install I want to put up the spacer boards before my cabinets arrive. Any chance you have a measurement from the bottom of the foot to the wall mounting holes in lockers? I realize there will be a variable due to the adjustable foot but would love to get as close as possible This would help me a lot!! Thanks in advance for the help
Did you mount the tall cabinets to the wall?

do u know if it is possible to install just 2 of the upper cabinets? One on the left and one on the right and leave the middle one empty? I need to install a press on the wood worktop and the clearance between the worktop to the bottom of the upper cabinets isn't enough.
Hi Gene. Yes, you can leave out the middle upper cabinet. Install it the way I did by making sure the upper cabinets are screwed into beams or furring strips behind it. That should work out fine. Good luck. Thanks so much for watching.

I am getting the one that has the two cabinets on the right and one on the left....do you know if you can swap and put two on the left and one on the right?
If I had the stainless steel instead of the wood workbench if this model. How do I drill through it to secure it

About how thick and wide do you recommend? Also I noticed you used only one furring strip at the top and not the bottom. Doesn't that cause an issue? Thank you sir!

Recently purchased the same color. Good video! I've got a similar issue where there is a concrete lip around bottom, so I need furring strips also.
Nice video thanks. Just got mine from Costco online last week. On sale for $400 off. Online difference is that instead of a wooden top, mine was wood underneath with a stainless steel top and front finish. The tabletop weighed a ton. Putting it together now. So far so good. 👍

Question: You attach the furring strips to the studs, then the cabinets to the furring strips. The cabinets are only connected to the furring strips and does not need to be installed in studs? The furring strips will hold the weight of a filled cabinet? Thanks for such a great detailed video!

Great work. I am getting mine this Friday. My garage foundation lip is sticking out 5 inches and is about 24 inches tall. I am thinking about installing the lockers on top of foundation lip and they will be attached to the wall stud.
I'm a very experienced DIY installer as a past Journeyman carpenter and General Contractor. Your video is pretty darn good in general. I just finished installing the Pro seris same colors as yours Black/Gray. However a bit of a different configuration. I agree that the product is a really good product and I'm very happy with the quality, general ease of installation and final appearance. The main point you mention in this configurationis with a locker/s ( I have 2 - 15" side by side) starting with one side level is absolutely crutial. However things to consider. As in my case the side wall is drastically out of plumb, so you can NOT push the cabinet against the out of plum wall or ithe locker/s will not be plum to start and it will be a disaster like you mention, tweak the cabinets and doors will bind.
One of the biggest issues I have with this product especially for inexperienced installers is, NO instructions of any kind come with the units. When you go online you can't find anything to answer simple questions like how to instal the clothing poles (you didn't use) I have motorcyle racing suits and play riding gear that I want to hang. I have no idea how the pole attach. It's the same for the slat wall install. You have to contact your sales rep and or live chat to get them to send you links that may or may not help. That's a pain and time consuming.
I do question why you used a furring strip just at the top? Depending on thickness, that will hold the cabinets out from the wall at the top and tilt them at the bottom. The product comes with thin, strong metal hangers you attach to the wall and hang the cabinets on them. They are designed specifically for this product. However again, in any case you may have to manipulate your install for enomolies or imperfections in your walls. Thats where experience comes in. If you don't know, it will take time with New Age to get any help that may work for your situation.
Did you place any furring strips on the bottom of the cabinets or just the top section to screw them in? I’ve done the same at the top but wasn’t sure if they needed to be supported on the back bottom edge as well
Hi. I had trouble with the workbench. I got it to be okay but my bottom cabinets are not flush to the tall cabinets. It's okay but not perfect. I purchased the red
I had to pause the video for a question. Do you think you might have put up another furring strip behind the lower part of the wall mounted cabinets? I know you have them at the top but it just seemed to me like they would be more secure if you also put another strip for the bottom of the cabinets.
I’m looking to get this unit with 3 base cabinets. Trying to decide if I should get 2 rolling drawers and one regular cabinet or 2 cabinets and one drawer. Since the drawers roll out do they support the bamboo counter? I want it sturdy. The 2 cabinets on each side looks like it would be more sturdy but I feel I would use more drawers. What’s your thoughts ?

Very nice but I would need an open space in the center bottom to sit on a stool and to be able to put my knees under the work surface. I also need a place to put a vise on the work bench. This brand seems to be a popular one that many buy.

I am looking to install wheels on my tall cabinets when the arrive for easy mobility. Any thoughts. My wall cabinets will be free floating
Interesting concept. Mine is too long with those upper cabinets so wheels won't work.
The one I purchased just arrived yesterday, unboxed it and looks like fun to put together. My challenge is I have a complete cement garage, so my question is how important is it to bolt the top cabinets to the wall? Could they just bridge to the two tallest cabinets?
They need to be attached to the wall. They are just think material and that wall mount secures them. You can use cement anchors to hold them on the wall.
How long to assemble?
I just started installing this same set last night. You are 100% on the being square. My doors hit on the first locker I installed last night, so tonight, I'll have to un-mount it from the wall, square it up again, and re-attach it to the wall.
Your video was great when I was looking around at cabinets, and was looking at these. Having a similar Craftsman toolbox pretty much sold me on this one. I can keep my craftsman, and not have to get rid of it.
Jim, yes I did the same thing. I put the first cabinet up and the doors wouldnt close right. So I had to wrestle with getting it perfectly square. I wanted to make sure people understood that before the build the whole thing. I love that my old toolbox fits into that space. I had to give of the chair space but it was worth it. What is the height to the bottom of the wooden workspace? I'm wondering if my Craftsmen rolling tool chest will fit under like yours.
Newage is currently 10 days behind my delivery window. I had to call them, wait on hold for 15 minutes, and was promised callbacks that never happened. Email case updates go unanswered for days. They have no idea the state of their own warehouse inventory nor can they get an update from their shipping partner. Caveat emptor.
