I'm a proud Khas thakur from Uttarkashi (Garhwal) Himalayas. We're all Khas brothers. We maybe in different nations but we have same genetics.

Due to the internal conflict between Khas thakuris the rais and limbus suddenly came to power. The Khambus have no history before that. Most of history of Kirat is a fictional tale made in darjeeling to revolt against bhutia lepcha overlords. Hence, many nepalese supported the fictional kirati connection of rai limbus at that time. Actually, Kirat means jungali and it never denoted mongolian race. Actual kirats are bhil people.

Khas and Aryans are different. Dufferent genetic make up but follow the same religion. khas worship Masto, the son Jaynt of Lord Indra.
Joshi, Pandey bramhins are of khas origin, shah and thapa are also of khas origin whereas Rajputs are of Aryan descent.

But presently in constitution the term khas arya is used which is stupid used for political reasons
Arya has 3 meaning one in genetically term, Iranian are the real arya/Aryans
And in brahmanical system, the brahmin-kshatriya and vaishya are called arya, which jas nothing to do with genetic but it's a term to represent the savarna classes from brahmanical prespective
And in buddhist literature also arya is used extensively like arya manjushree, aryatara, aryaavalokiteshwar (seto machindranath)
The challa kings of karnali were refered to as khasiya rajas. Later they also changes surname from challa to malla.

The so called aryans of nepal are also not pure. The highest aryan ancestory might be max 30% and more of the ani ancestry. (ANI- ancestral north indian were the people of indus valley before the 2nd wave of aryan migration reached india and started the vedic religion) Different migrations throughout history has definitely divide the aryans and khas people. We can even find the east asian ancestry upto 20% in khas. So what we are actually is the real mix of everywhere. The aryans , the persian farmers, ancestral indians and east asians. Which is unique.
