I know it’s not technically a fix to the issue but had this problem with the new controller update on the new Xbox controller taking a usb type C cord but still works on the controller using a micro usb cord
I turned my Xbox off back on my Xim lights up but the light on the Xim holder for usb does not light up my mnk does not either my controller won’t turn off or anything not sure why was told my power cable is shorted
i picked up a xim apex and was a first time user of any xim product and i successfully connected my Mouse and keyboard but then i attempted to connect my controller but once i connect it using a usb the xim stays red and the controller icon doesn’t appear in the app there is very little youtube videos on this topic so i found myself on the official FAQ and i’ve been troubleshooting for four and a half hours i’ve tried just about everything...
so how I fixed that issue was by usung a better xbox controller to fit into my xim... like I had a cheap 25-30 dollar controller that I was using because my old xbox one was beat up. However it wouldn't register it in the xim apex manager app on the phone. So i grabbed my old xbox controller that is missing a RB and it worked perfect. In other words it might be the xbox controller that you are trying to plug that isn't compatible with it! ^_^
If you have configured your XIM APEX using XIM APEX Manager and you can see your mouse and keyboard input display in XIM APEX Manager but nothing is happening in-game on your console, it's likely that your controller isn't communicating correctly with your XIM APEX. This normally caused by a faulty USB cable between your XIM APEX and controller. For PS4, the included USB cable with the console is low quality is mainly the cause of this issue. Please try a different micro USB cable.
d6rk try plugging in ur mouse and keyboard after your xim is set up on ur xbox then plus everything in go in order from 1 mouse 2 keyboard 3 controller
I fixed the problem by taking the usb the mouse and keyboard out the xim then turning off my Xbox then I plugged everything back in then I put the xim in turned on the Xbox and it worked
You my zim apex USB peice comes off all the time I tried superglue but now another peice is getting stuck in my ps4 and I don't want to end up destroying my ps4 what should I do

Things I've tried: 3 other controllers, all do the same thing Changed micro usb cable The reset thing this dude in video posted Purchased another xim apex I'm starting to think its my xbox usb. Because i sold my old xim apex to a friend and he doesnt have the issue. Last thing im going to try is a powered usb and run it thru there.
@@samluna4135 hey man thanks for sharing! i used the zim for like one year without a probblem.. its somehow working now.. it disconnects just a few times. just a month ago.. it would shut off every 5 min :( No idea why it works again now... havent done anything to it. Yeah maybe.. sound like good idea i might try that too. yeah i tryed changing usb cabel.. did not work. Also i tried connecting an external power supply for the apex.. but that is not the problem either.. So yeah maybe its just my usb port on my playstation that is fucked.. I was also thinking about buying a new apex.. but now i dont have to do that, since you already tried it. Thank you so much dude!
@@ruubern dude, xim4 was way more dependable. Xim apex has me doing some weird stuff that makes no sense but works for some reason. I found that if i plug a usb hub into the apex and then plug the xim hub into that, the failure rate is lower. If it was a power issue, that shouldn't even work haha

Also there are two different types of cords onea just for power and the other ones transfer data as well as power

All that is is a mechanism to tell you your turning speed is capped. You can turn off In settings
